There are websites where you can get Dell coupons that will drop their monitor prices pretty low. I got the 2005FPW about 2 weeks ago for $407. It has a 12ms response time.
Anonymity has many other advantages outside of protecting illegal downloads. I agree that lawyers would probably take that and run with it but I don't think it's a good reason not to implement it into bit torrent.
It's very easy to take music off of the iPod. All you have to do is change your settings to show hidden folders. Then you can browse to your music on the iPod. Apple sets the folder to hidden and then claims that you "can't copy from it." Pretty lame if you ask me.
The only problem with that way is that the music isn't organized very well so it is best to have a program to do it with.
My dad's office (law firm) was hacked about a year ago. Actually, it was more of their phone system that was hacked. It is somehow hooked into their computer system, I don't know the details. Anyways, they got a bill one day and there were tons of calls to the Middle East. They called the FBI and surprisingly an agent showed up. It probably had to do with the fact that the calls were to the middle east. They didn't do anything though other than take some notes. I expected more but I guess not having to pay for the calls was good enough.
Yea I told her to put it in neutral next time and I think I mentioned turning it off. She was freaked out when it happened and neutral didn't come to her mind. She was able to get it down to a slow enough speed to where hitting someone wasn't the worst thing to do. Her options were either that or into a very busy intersection. When she took it to the dealer, the guy said "oh! that happens pretty often!" like it was no big deal. She had a lot of trouble with that explorer. On 2 separate incidents she had firestone's blowout. Needless to say, she sold the car.
By the way, I don't know if these qualify as the same thing but I think the accelerator didn't really "stick." She described it as "flooring" itself.
From what I've heard, Ford's bug is opposite. My ex had an explorer and one day the pedal slammed itself to the floor and she couldn't stop the car with all of her weight on the brake and had to ram it into someone to get it to stop.
Breaking the law just to "prove you can" doesn't really fly. They would have been much smarter to just tell the school about the problem and then helped them to fix it. If the school ignored them, they could have easily made the issue public. High schools aren't very big so it's pretty easy to get the word about things. I don't agree that whistle blowers should be punished but these guys went past that point. These guys should be punished, and they most likely will.
It would probably be a good idea if they put the check for updates button in a more visible spot, like say the File menu. Maybe then, a novice user would see it and wonder what it was for. I'm sure a lot of people have no idea that software updates are made available.
I went to the Bahamas before I had a passport, and came back without one. You can go to Mexico and back without a passport. You can go to Canada and back without one.
This may be changing though...
Can someone explain the slashdot/firefox bug to me? I have both FF and IE up on this page and they look pretty much identical to me. I don't see any problem in FF. What is it?
I work for a DoD contractor and have been at several different sites. While the rules that you state seem to be the most common, every site has different rules to follow. When I first started working, we could downgrade binary files (.exe's,.jpg's,.mov...etc.) The rules at that site changed last year and you can no longer do that but I'd be willing to bet that at other sites, this is still allowed. It all depends on the DSS officer that is overseeing your office. Images can still be downgraded but they have to go through a long process and be reviewed multiple times. So, while you are correct, you are not 100% correct.
I heard that when you take inflation into account, gas is actually the cheapest it's been since the 80s.
It still doesn't make feel good about paying $40 to fill up my car.
This may or may not be relevant but cops actually are not required to protect you. Since the cops are employed by the city, that can sort of mean that the city is not required to protect you.
IANAL though, so I could be wrong.

This should be nice for HD based mp3 players since I'm sure most of the battery life goes to spinning the platter.
Firefox blocked it for me but I've noticed lately that I'm getting more and more popups. Make sure you upgrade to the latest release.

- Texting is better when I'm in a situation where I don't want others to know what I'm talking about.
- Texting is better when I need to tell someone something but I don't want to have to have a full conversation with them.
- Since I travel a lot, I love using Google text (46645) when I'm looking for something like a restaraunt in the area

If it's a public university wouldn't the taxpayers technically own it?

I would think that we would like our data to last forever, but maybe it's just me.
My company recently started deleting our email after 90 days. One of the reasons I heard was to protect us in lawsuits.
There is currently new vehicle program in proposal stage called the CEV (Crew Exploration Vehicle).
It'll probably be a very long time before this thing flies though.
You'd probably have to have a super duper wide angle lens for this to work well.
Yes is
I can't tell if you are trying to make a joke or if you forgot "it". Either way, that first sentence is only a fragment.
If you ever aspired to be the next Jerry Seinfeld instead of the next American Idol. That is not a sentence.
