    Yah, I guess this is true, since I only have 256mb of ram on my Windows box. Plus, I forogt I have it installed on my 5400prm drive as opposed to my 7200rpm backup drive. I should probably switch those. My bad I guess. *oops*

    Granted it drags ass on a 400Mhz laptop...

    Hmm, i have a 2.7ghz system and most operations seem to "drag ass." And that's when I have just Norton AV and ZoneAlarm running let alone other apps.

    i did this once before and thought it would be a great idea. However, all the heat from the system started to melt some of the pieces since everything was pretty jampacked in there. I love Legos and all, but I'll stick to metal, thank you.

    It doesn't mean you don't have friends if you spend time learning through your computer instead of spending every second on AIM. I usually spend time learning C or looking up things on Wikipedia. You can still be on AIM, just leave an away message saying something along the lines of; "Coding a small script for your replacement." Since nothing says usefulness like:

    DO;
    SHUTUP;
    WHILE (1==1);

    I agree, Legos are too expensive. I've spent nearly $3000 on my collection, but it was well worth the good memories. Then again, knowing about Ldraw could have saved me some money.

    In Japan, I hear there are even toilet seats that occasionally require a reboot (although mine runs Slackware 10.0 and is remarkably robust).

    yah, my toilet used to be runnin Windows: my ass would be blue and every could get in to see me naked. thank god i switched to Mandrake.

    Between me and my friends (who are between 15 and 16), we would never buy this. We'd rather have an iMac G5 for the same price, or even a normal tower PC with Linux running on it. Looks don't matter, it's how it runs. I doubt this Hip-e would perform anywhere near a Mac or PC of the same price. And I can't even see the cool factor in the Hip-e, so it's pointless.

    People pirating Windows on Linux boxes just don't know they're pirating. They get Linux for free, and assume Windows is too (actually, pirated copies of Microsoft should require giving $200 back on the fact it was even considered to use Windows)
