    If you whant Linux, I would generaly recomend OpenSuse, but I have no idea if if works on your computer. However, if you like vista, maybe try installing the windows 7 beta, it is reported to run wery well on netbooks.

    I think the important question here is how can they sue over a patent filed in 1987? I thought a patent where valid for 20 years... Also, I can not remember KDE without multiple desktops. How can you just sit on a patent waiting until someone breaks it, let em use if for 10-20 years then sue... Then again, I do not claim to understand the us patent system.

    If I remember correctly, part of what a silence do is slowing down a bullet so that it dos not break the sound barrier. If a bullet travels faster than the sound, a sonic detector becomes useless except to protect a VIP holding a speech, like when the president talks to a crowd, monitors could be placed in the area, calculating flight path and move the target accordingly. FYI: This is slash ., so no, I did not read the article.. :p

    Actualy, I have found that an old laptop with OpenSUSE is the perfect computer for the youngest.... Many of the kid games are easier to get going in wine than on a windows computer where ther dont have admin access... Why on erth would a 7 year old need admin access on my computer? A Restricted user acount should do just fine, but alas.

    I admittedly dos not know exchange very well, but I do run mail servers that do extensive spam filtering,and a few things strike me as odd.
    1. How come a large amount of extra mail crash and just not slow down a mail server?
    2. In my experience, something in the neighbor hood of 5-10 % of mail is legit, relay doubling, tripling or even multiplying the amount of legit mail still counts for less mail that what I would expect during peek spam periods.....

    I can quite honestly say this is one of the most insane things I've red. Fortunatley for the population in nz, once evry one and their grandmas has lost internet connections, which should happen in about 3-5 weeks, they will have to see how stupid this is and redraw the law.

    Also an economic rescue pacage for isps with no customers should be prepered now :p

    The real problem is that when more and more idiotic things gets illegal, it doesn't mean every common joe is gonna be arrested. It dos however open up a lot of opportunities for any law enforcement agent that for some reason want you off the street. It doesn't matter why, by maybe you have some "wrong" opinions and like to air em, if enough things are illegal, you are bound to have broken the law at some time...

    That being said, I think theres a lot more focus on this kind of things these days compared to when that album where released, which is a good thing. Even if it seems silly to a lot of us, since certain individual might look at it as porn and not art, it seems legit to at least discuss what is ok.

    Oh yes, I forgot. It should be on sale now or soon in other TMobile markeds. No word yet as to when the dream version wil be available in the rest of the world :(

    The HTC dream is currently only sold as TMobile G1 in the us, where as this one is sold world wide, at a decent price to :)

    I'm not a us citizen, so there might be a reason for this that is publicly known, that I'm not aware of, but why is a registered voter tied to a party in the first place, and more importantly, why dos you have to register to be a voter to vote. Over here, once you turn 18 you are automatically a registered voter. Every one born is entered into the national system and given a "social security number"(we have another name for it). Every one that lives here working must have a this number since it is used to pay taxes, and granting social benefits. Once you have lived her legally(with this number) for x(I don't remember if its 3 or 5 years) years you are automatically granted the right to vote.

    I think "we" believe that it in everyones best interest that as large amount of the population(the ones living here) have and use their right to vote. I don't think there's any way to loose this right either unless you don't have citizen ship and leaves the country.
