For the first time, it seemed, flaws in Microsoft's software were translating into flaws in the company's business model. I would have thought Microsoft correcting these errors in their code would increase their sales, not decrease them.
somebody doesnt understand bittorrent...... Actually, someone has been using bittorrent since it was released (I was the AC that posted), and I think you'll find as soon as the people that just started downloading have downloaded about 10% the speed will increase again, thanks.
So basically, you won't use Linux until Linux supports all the viruses Windows gets? an OS that supports ALL the applications and games I currently run I don't know about you, but I've never considered a virus as an application or a game
Is it worthy or is it just another player that falls short of the iPod's greatness? You're assuming everyone likes the iPod with that statement, I personally think it's a great mp3 player but aren't too pleased with the aesthetics. Each to his own...
So for those who have been waiting to ditch MS Windows because of these two apps, now is your chance I'll ditch windows when someone comes up with an OS that supports ALL the applications and games I currently run, and is faster or has some other 'thing' that would be beneficial to me.
The story says: the company does 'take privacy very seriously' But could you take the company seriously? The person in charge of it cost film producers and music companies millions, possibly even billions of dollars. Would you do business with someone who caused theft on such a huge scale?
publishers don't have the right to let Amazon do this I can understand publishers not letting Amazon do this, but not having the right to let them do it? This is absurd...
with tablet PCs. Maybe Windows is better with super gaming PCs, but with tablets with little processing power, Linux's nice, gentle power useage is perfect.
Mclaren F1, I mean if Mr. Bean has one what a status symbol, umm On second thoughts just give me the car and we'll ignore who else owns one. Ahh, but it might be pretty difficult getting hold of one, as there are only 7 in the world, and I'm pretty sure noone's selling at the moment.
The problem with this is, while sports cars, and even yahts are quite easy to operate, and not paticularly 'messy', this submarine is also WAY more expensive. I'll stick with my Lamborghini Diablo, thanks.
I quit UO immediately after AoS was released Same. I was thinking about qutting even when pub 16 came out, but AoS finalised my decision. of course it didn't help that Magic Resist was completely nuked as well. Ya, that was terrible. I here they've sorted it out now... but it doesn't matter anyway, as most players have left now.
The site's slashdotted, but before it went down I got this 'plug' for the product: VersaLaser(TM) can transform images or drawings on your computer screen into real items made out of an amazing variety of materials... wood, plastic, fabric, paper, glass, leather, stone, ceramic, rubber... and it's as easy to use as your printer.
A company called Versalaser sells a printer which uses a laser and can cut/write on everything from paper to wood to stone Wouldn't it be better to employ someone who can write/work with wood/chisel stone? Even if you employed the person many many times it still wouldn't cost the $10000 needed for this printer, I really don't understand why the price is that high either...
New Scientist is reporting that concerns over deteriorating equipment on ISS I heard a program was being put in place to get together new equipment, repair old equipment etc a while back, I wonder what happened to that?
whether this works or not depends on how many people use it. Time will tell if it suceeds or fails.

and the host of secrecy swarming Microsoft and it's next generation Operating System, Longhorn
How come a beta is already on bittorrent?

full-fledged Windows [XP] computer that measures 3 inches by 5 inches
Nice and small. What's the point in having a laptop unless it's plenty mobile?
the most detailed look of Langhorn I've got so far here. Yeah it's the whole thing, and you're welcome.

...simple as that. Go get a decent Watercooling setup and a , and you've got an (almost) silent PC.

Is this not a breach of human rights? I don't think people should be monitored in this way, even if it is to prevent crime.

they brought out Age of Shadows, it totally changed the game (for the worse), and everyone left, anyone else used to/play UO here?
