  1. Golden opportunity? on Windows 10 Now Showing Full Screen Ads On Lock Screen (consumerist.com) · · Score: 1

I would love to see Anonymous, Lizard Squad or whoever are the latest "hacktivists" poison the Ad servers to push out ads for Apple, Ubuntu, heck even Haiku or ReactOS. I think it would be somewhat poetic!

  2. Re:checks the date on Report: Microsoft To Buy Minecraft Studio For $2bn+ · · Score: 1

I don't see why not - it would be an improvement over the current Metro interface!

  3. Re:But it's just a misunderstanding! on ExoLance: Shooting Darts At Mars To Find Life · · Score: 1

No-one would have believed in the early part of the 21st century that Martian affairs were being watched from the timeless worlds of space. No one could have dreamed that we were being scrutinized, as someone with a microscope studies creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of that wet stuff from the poles. Few Martians even considered the possibility of life on other planets and yet, across the gulf of space, minds immeasurably superior to ours regarded this Mars with envious eyes, and slowly and surely, they drew their plans against us.

  5. Don't forget the DECENT Multimedia games on Myst Was Supposed To Change the Face of Gaming. What Is Its Legacy? · · Score: 1

What I find sad is that so many people raving about Myst/Riven forget the classics that did "multimedia" gaming right - Under a Killing Moon, Pandora Directive, Tex Murphy: Overseer. In my opinion these remain the pinnacle of that era's gaming.

I must second that. I think FFX is one of the few games that have had me really FEEL something due to the story rather than blind rage from bad gameplay.

Then again, Kingdom Hearts has made me feel violent towards whoever programmed the camera!
