I'm not saying Wolfram can't pull this off, but I've been programming for a long, long time and mastering the pesky "nitpicking complexity" is one thing good programmers do very well.
I wish him well, but I remain skeptical. I hope the result doesn't devolve into "click here and here and here."
Pearl Harbor itself was masterfully orchestrated, but I think Roosevelt expected a different result. We had cracked their codes, knew an attack was coming and where.
Citation needed.
We knew an attack was coming and where, the question is, did we know when? Only Roosevelt and his top brass know that, and I'm sure they took it to their graves.
If top brass Admiral Husband Kimmel, Commander in Chief, U.S. Fleet and Pacific Fleet, knew Japanese plans beforehand, then he must have been the most surprised person at Pearl Harbor when a.50 caliber round grazed him during the attack.
My inspiration in high school was Mr. Nichols. Very bright, a stern disciplinarian, he taught me chemistry and physics and was the football coach. You didn't mess with Mr. Nichols and you certainly couldn't out-think him.
I thank you, sir, for your service to the community.

A fourth possibility is to forget this silliness before it turns into epic failure, go back to the drawing board, and design computers that make fewer mistakes, not more mistakes. Sheesh, what lunacy!

Irrespective of what the county claims:

Citizens should always be concerned when any government has their hand in your pocket or, especially, when they say "there is no cause for concern." Consider our loss of rights and privacy due to the current and prior Federal administrations.
So NASA is a reasonable expense, if you have the money.
I like NASA's achievements, but we don't have the money. We are about $17,000,000,000,000 in the hole, the debt is getting larger every day, and there is no plan to get out of the hole. About 43 cents of every Federal dollar spent goes to pay off the interest on this debt. The USA is doomed if we continue on this path.
But the strategic (not economic) value of the Moon cannot be overemphasized. We MUST get there, and stay there, if for no other reason than to keep others from getting too far ahead of us. Whoever controls the moon pretty much controls the Earth. Never forget that.
Other than Robert Heinlein, what is your documentation for "Whoever controls the moon pretty much controls the Earth"?
Developers know the first 90% of the project takes the first 90% of the projected time and the last 10% of the project takes an additional 90% of the projected time.
I passed 3rd year transistor theory only by visiting an old book sale and buying a textbook from the 60s that explained the bits that the dodgey lecturer "forgot about".
Because, you know, only the United States has manned aircraft in its airspace.
Or maybe you don't really care if those airliners are full of brown people?
Wow, where did all this uncalled for hatred come from? If you had bothered to read the article, you would have noticed it is US-centric and mentioned US-based groups such as US Army, DHS, DOD, FAA, GAO, MITRE, NASA, NAS, USAF, and possibly others.
I can only vote for US representatives and congressmen and will only vote for those who are against the unlimited spying that will come from drones.

Yep, he's right. Things like destroying the United States Constitution. Nice work, NSA.

The SANTA and EASTER BUNNY teams are also reporting negative results today. Film at 11.
America (specifically NASA) is no longer capable of dealing with incoming rocks. What chance does the UN have? Zero, absolutely zero.
We bid you a fond farewell, fellow citizen, and will remember you long after you have been disappeared.
And it's easy to get off-brand replacement toner that's high-quality and cheap, too
We are fond of our Brother HL 4150CDN. Where do you get high-quality, cheap toner?

Healthcare.gov already has at least 4 systems in place to track people's use of the website
You forgot one: the NSA.
It's even sadder to see the end of an era.

In 2002 I switched over to LaTeX and took an oath never to create another Word document as long as I lived. So far, so good!
LaTeX has a big learning curve, but it creates beautiful documents and is math/science friendly.

Purchasing the next 'cool' device often overrides logic or common sense. Perhaps some individuals will change after being hoist with their own petard.
Seriously, was 4-20ma ever a good idea?
Yes, if you know how to use it. Signal and power on one wire pair and the wire pair can be really, really long if necessary. Not too shabby.
but corporations, unlike the NSA, generally get their wrists slapped when they attempt to break the Constitution and its amendments.

Pretty simple language: four constants, no explicit operators, but concatenation is implied between constants.
