"If you want the full 5.1 sound experience ("point one" is the subwoofer), you'll need to address all 6 channels."
I gotta say, if you don't know what the.1 is in 5.1, you probably won't be noticing any of the improvements that this article promises. Classic case of not knowing your audience.
Not that I don't agree with the premise, but there is a slight difference. With a car, you don't have to pay a good portion of the car's purchase price every time it needs a tune-up. As has been pointed out several times in this discussion, if we charge 45 bucks an hour which is the going rate where I live, they could buy a new Dell for the price of a couple of tune-ups.
If you would've read the article, the maps will eventually be released for free. There are those of us who will probably pay a premium for having those maps a few months early, and those who will wait until they are free. Seems like they're being pretty decent about this.
Actually, Microsoft has talked about making XBox Live available for PC gamers. This makes a lot of sense from a business standpoint, because with their new XNA Studio for developing games, it should be a lot easier to target PCs or XBoxes with games. So, IMHO, it looks like there is a better chance for modders, and it sounds like they could even make a little bit of money, too.
One third less, not one third of. So if you get 5 hours on your P-M, It'd be closer to 3.3 hrs on the AMD. Not saying that's acceptable, just wanted to make sure that people don't judge AMD unfairly because of a miscommunication.
For my current job, the test was over C++, Java, Perl, and PHP. Some of the concepts that were covered included Linked Lists, Queues, Stacks, arrays, and general CGI knowledge. I think a lot
of test will focus on a mastery of the skills that a person "should" take from a college education in CS.
I may be way off, but I believe that Evolution had Exchange support before Novell bought Ximian. When you think of it that way, it would've made sense for Ximian to support one of the biggest email servers early on.
Ethics are not determined by what one person asks you not to do. Depending on your philosophy, ethical could be what you feel is right for you, or it could be what society as a whole feels is right. In this case, I'm guessing that most people are going to back you up since most of us support the ideas behind the GPL in general, if not that particular license.
Mormon is a common name for people of the LDS religion, due to their book of scripture called "The Book of Mormon". Mormons (LDS members) do NOT practice polygamy. Anyone who practices polygamy is excommunicated from the religion.
Look at Dell. Even shipping with Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, you can easily get one for $399. This is without any special deal or sale. If Dell would sell without an operating system, I think prices would easily fit within your 350 dollar threshhold.
Palm had a good thing going, but they have fallen behind in the past few years. I love my Palm, but I think it's too little, too late. My next PDA won't be a Palm. They're losing their competitive pricing. Other companies have had wireless for a long time that is much less expensive.
I think his name is Token.....

"your 3000 grand monitors" 3000 grand? They're more expensive than I thought!
My gmail account is also at 1.4GB. I'm thinking it's probably real, considering that Google launched on April Fools day.

Of course if he's driving it might be easier to decapitate somebody....

Yeah, but you have to keep in mind that most game consoles are sold at a loss.
