I would recommend getting started on learning Linux before then, you will probably curse it and give it up a few times before you are willing to make a complete switch. I want to start my 3rd try but the box I want to switch I am currently doing some DirectX 9.0 development on and can't.
I play certain games on my PC for a couple reasons the biggest usually is that I find it more immersive (I can sit 1.5 to 2 feet away from my monitor and not my tv) the other biggest reason is that these games are generally easier to play with a keyboard and mouse. 90% of the time the games I want to play are available for both the pc and the xbox.
I have been seriously thinking about switching to Shaws digital phone, the problem is I have a deal on long distance right now and it would cost me an extra $10 a month for phone service if I switched. I am now seriously thinking of switching just for this reason.
I have been with both Telus and Shaw 2 out of the 3 broadband providers in my area (there is a 4th coming next month) and I have never had a yearly contract.
In college we got that news paper for free. The sunshine girl made between classes just a little bit more interesting. However the paper was just useless 90% of the time for news purposes.
Vote with your dollars. I hear it here all the time, in this case it doesn't even make sense, the dollars lost from her not buying a game aren't even worth the industry looking into. In fact the likely hood of the games industry even noticing the loss of the few women gamers who care about this is pretty slim. If they did notice it they probably wouldn't realize what caused the problem.

The developers and testers take lunch at least once a month to try and learn more about a different aspect of security, all of detailed designs are now being designed with security in mind it is no longer an after thought. The testers now test known security holes and are encouraged to come up with new security holes before the products are released.
to most people, however it is getting more coverage here than any scandal in recent history. This is not suprising as this is a news site for nerds. My mother who is by no means a nerd and I had a long discussion over the phone about it, basically we discussed most of the points made on slashdot (she brought up a few of the better ones herself). This boring scandal should show just how large the video game industry has become and how serious the non-gaming public is begining to take the video game industry.
Is there any scientific relevance to the layout of this chart whatsoever. If there is I could not find it in a brief read of the article. If I remember correctly from HS chemistry then the last chart had a layout that made it very easy for doing all the chemistry stuff that I can't remember the names of anymore.
They are concered that you could make your own pornography with said paint products, so they are making sure you are old enough to view pornographic materials (just in case you make them yourself).
Did anyone say it was a notebook PC, I think that they said it was for IM applications only. I am buying one for my girlfriends sister who hogs the computer all day everday just to chat.
you don't give you 8 year old admin access do you? I think it should be quite clear at this point in time that the people that would buy this game for their kids and the people that don't know their kids play this game do not know the difference between admin access and regular access.
The other day I was asked for ID when I bought FarCry, I was laughed at by the other guys until the next guy in line who looked older than me was asked for the same when he bought some other M rated game. This is in Canada though so I don't know what the states is like.
I like the sounds of Solicitation: Salt Lake City. It could be really challenging to get the mormons to have sex with the prostitute. The goal of the game could be to demoralize the entire city.

In many situations yes, but one large market for game systems is younger men. In my apartment the cable jack (which provides internet access and cable tv) is located by the tv. So is my router, if my router was combined into my game console that would mean one less item on my tv stand.
Why not offer to help find a way to get this program running on your system of choice. They developed the program to run on the majority of users operating systems, they were not even required to do that. They could have set it up so that it only worked on your system and been inundated with the majority of people complaining. So in short HELP solve the problem do not just send an email.
I am a software tester and I see some problems here. Changing hardware always, no matter how small the change, causes problems. They could get lucky and the problems may be easy to fix, but they may be out some launch titles if this causes problems for developers. I could see Microsoft losing their have the product out to market advantage being lost if all the good games are delayed due to this problem.
Your giving men more credit than most women ever do. Usually all I get is oh you'll be happy if you have sex, drink beer and play some video games, which 90% of the time is entirely true.
