That may be true, but Turkey spends its time waging war on other groups, such as Armenians, Greeks, Kurds, free speech, and just about anything that goes against Islam, Atafag, or ultranationalism.
What a wondeful country.
Uh, no they don't. It takes about 8-9 years. Costs are more than just raw panels. They include inverters, installation, integration, and more, IN ADDITION to solar panels, which have recently gone up in price significantly. Besides, no one puts aerospace-grade panels on houses due to high costs involved. And even if they did, the increase in efficiency would not cover for the increased purchase cost.
I challenge you to prove me wrong.
Are you telling me that there aren't infinitely more bloggers who publish questionable, unverifiable material online almost as fact? You just described the internet, friend!
ProTools is industry standard, period. No FOSS is going to conquer their market share. In fact, outside of the/. crowd, this will remain small. Lack of hardware support for most popular interfaces will doom it so, not to mention Linux's inflexibilities to the average user.
The RIAA is not a company: it is a trade organization. There are thousands of labels represented under the veil. In this instance, it seems to me that all they're doing is profiting from their content. Meaning, if they paid for a music video to be produced and for the songs therein to be recorded, they want to get a portion of the money that Google (for example) gets from AD revenue from playing that content, which does not belong to it.
If you are not understanding this, then you're hopeless. An example would be this: you paint something and it becomes famous. People all over create and sell merchandise with your painting, giving you nothing. You want a slice of the pie, because it is YOUR painting. Do you get it now?
Yes, there are other suppliers, for a similar product, but not the White Stripes album. You can buy other bands' CDs for much less from online specialty retailers.
The cost of that alone is very prohibitive. Also, high-compression hydrogen in your trunk or wherever is not safe. It's just a stupid way of attempting to solve a problem.
C'mon, Slashdot! This has been covered by everyone already. Whatever happened to breaking news? Or did Slashdot's purchase by you-know-who totally end whatever edge it had in the online niche news market?
Even if you were to cover your entire car roof in solar cells, it would still not be an efficient way to generate hydrogen. Even if it is meant to stay in your garage and generate hydrogen, it still would not be ideal.
The real breakthrough will come from companies that are doing innovation, not applying inefficient techniques to prevailing problems. The said company has developed safe hydrogen storage pellets, which is just the kind of thing that is needed to solve the hydrogen density probem without resorting to ridiculous pressures and expensive materials. Now, develop cheap fuel cells that don't use a lot of platinum and other exotic materials!
Not many people use computers at home or school for productive uses, most people use them for playing games.
WTF are you talking about? The gaming aspect of computing is a tiny portion compared to the actual, useful purposes which it serves. Do you have any stats to back up your claims?
Why do you think so highly of the people who run Slashdot? Is it because they are Linux/OSS fans and should therefore be morally respectable and incapable of potentially sleeping with Roland or because you're so naive to think that they care?
You know what annoys me more? Geeks like you who dissect every good thing, every litte progress just so you can feel better about the fact that you won't be able to enjoy it, even if it was to "actual" space. No one said this was space travel. However, this is as good a view as you're gonna get for $200,000. But nooo, it's not good enough for you!
That's $100 million, Einstein. Furthermore, I doub the Russian Space Agency would conduct full-size tests of your moon mission, thus you'd be at a higher risk than the VirginGalatic trips, which would have had many tests by that time.

Does it have to do with the density of fuel at such a temperature or what?

We are talking about Saudi Arabia here in particular, so spare us your political correctness, please.

This only pertains to people who sell other people's goods online. The headline is misleading.

Go back and read it again. You don't seem to understand.

This isn't "your" model: this is precisely what Red Hat (RIP) and SuSe have been doing for years for the desktop market.
I hope you're joking, otherwise you're wrong.

Where do you look when you meet someone?
Earth is too bright and drowns out stars.
The reason they end up over the poles is because that's where the offending particles end up. To read about why this is so, visit here: Ozone Hole.

100km and then down. Whee!
