The whole time during the movie I was saying, "Where is my bulletproof, flameproof, waterproof, knife wielding psychotic walker killing big breasted whores?"
I mean "evil masks"...pfft whatever...once I finally figured that out I was pissed. I grabbed my date and was like, "Baby this is whack". Then I left screaming profanities like, "I hope Michael Meyers comes back and kills those SOB writers...because they need to die by having their weiners cut off because this movie is for pussies!"
So I went up to the manager and was like, "AW HELL NO! you aren't making me pay $5 to see that shit!" The next thing I knew some punkass 16 year old usher tries to calm me down...and if you aren't buying me a beer, then I'm not calm. I was like, "Get me a beer...or get outta my face you punkass 16 year old usher!" So he moved, I snatched my money and we busted out of that travesty of a movie.
Then I told everyone in line that there is no Michael Myers...but they didn't believe me...and I was like "Fine you dumbasses, go see fo' yo' self...but afterwards don't complain to me about that damn annoying song 'Two more days 'til Halloween, Halloween, Halloween...'"
Shannon's law: A statement defining the theoretical maximum rate at which error-free digits can be transmitted over a bandwidth-limited channel in the presence of noise, usually expressed in the form C = W log2(1 + S/N ), where C is the channel capacity in bits per second, W is the bandwidth in hertz, and S/N is the signal-to-noise ratio. Note: Error-correction codes can improve the communications performance relative to uncoded transmission, but no practical error correction coding system exists that can closely approach the theoretical performance limit given by Shannon's law.
Now turbo codes, an error-correcting code, have come close to Shannon's theoretical limit at a certain SNR, but then it reaches a floor. I believe that if they aren't already using Turbo Codes for data transmission in 3G already, then they will most likely be used when migrating to 4G...when and if that happens.
Some other error-correcting codes that have gained some steam recently are the Low-Density Parity-Check codes which were develop in the 1960's. Apparently, these codes can come even close to Shannon's Limit.
Just thought I'd give you some stuff to check out.

...yup me to, especially with all of those ITAR regulations on government research grants. From what I hear, graduate schools are desperate to get US citizens into grad school because of restrictions like ITAR. Its seems like some of the EE's I know are getting their MBAs after their undergraduate degree...boring.
Yes, I am in graduate school (Masters) hopefully finishing up in May....June....oh God please let me graduate.
Please slide the pizza under the door and depart quietly.
The golden ratio concept is a big part of furniture design. Case pieces (boxes, bureaus, etc...) appear more balanced and pleasing to the eye when the golden ratio is followed.
I believe widescreen TVs, movie theater screens, and even Credit Cards also follow the golden ratio (loosely). Also, some artists use the golden ratio in their paintings to create a person with a pleasing stance.
I recommend picking up the book "The Joy of Mathematics", it covers the golden ratio (and examples) in many places throughout the book. A very interesting and fun read!
Well I think Symantec has it wrong because Virginia Tech is getting lit up right now. I've already had 40 today. I feel bad for the others who have hundreds.
Hey thanks for the post, most of the stores I went into just sold sets, not individual pieces here in St. Louis. I haven't been in a LEGO store in like 8 months, so maybe they updated their store. I will have to stop by this weekend and check it out.
Why doesn't Lego sell individual pieces in bulk. If you can go into a grocery store and by gummi bears by the pound, why not legos?
They already have some Lego stores in the mall, I don't think it would be too hard to add a bulk section.
Being able to buy a 1/2 pound of triangle, rectangle, or square pieces would be great if you are missing pieces or if you want to buy you kid or husband a heck of a lot of legos to foster their imagination.
With the announcement of the Sony QRIO, measures were taken to beef up security at Lord's Cricket Ground. One security guard commented, "You know I never though Douglas Adams was right...but...hey what's that red sofa doing in the middle of the field?"
Is Lindos any better...I mean Microsoft could make a argument at LinDOS. Plus why would you want DOS in your name anyways.
1) There is no such thing as security...one can be cautious but never totally safe.
2) There are ways the country can become more "secure" without taking away our privacy. (I used secure there to make you feel more safe)
just my two cents.

If it rattles and it shouldn't, then use duct tape. If it is suppose to rattle and doesn't, then use WD-40.
Brilliant. Cheers.
