This is flawed. A car usually costs you several hundred dollars/euros per month/whether you use it or not/ The gas cost of a car is way less than public transport. So you end up spending less using a car.

In Australia, about 80% of people on the roads drive 10-20km/h UNDER the speed limit. They also block all the lanes and leave huge gaps in front at traffic lights - gaps where I could drive another small car into. Police don't do anything about blockers, one even drove 10min right behind a car going 30km/h in a 60km/h one lane street. Then he put on his sirens. I thought he was going to do something, but as soon as the car pulled over he just drove on!
Apple invented jailbreaking. The first thing most Apple fanboys do with their iPhone is to break out of the walled garden. MS is probably dumb enough to try to wall in their few users.
Given that usually missles you want to destroy are aimed AT you and not flying OVERHEAD, esp when just 2km away, I wonder how useful this system is. Maybe we can ask our enemies to put them next to their launching pads?
The US has always subsidized their own and tarriffed others without reason. They do so even with trading partners with whom they've signed free trade agreements. The US doesn't need an excuse to impose tarriffs. They just need to tell you they've done so.
Police are already frequently called out because "there's someone with a camera!" in public "acting suspicious" (taking photos). Do we really want to change those cameras to look like a rifle now?
Sending descriptive and/or meaningful reports is not the issue. The problem is that in most outfits there is NO way for anyone to reach the devs. As a dev I have seen obvious out-by-1 errors, chat with 'support' and give detailed info, etc, but the idiot on the other end doesn't pass anything on, instead just filed it as 'unknown crash'.
And that's assuming you have a way to reach any support at all. Most 'contact' pages are actually 'search faq' pages, you get pointed to forums that require registration AND are admin/mod by volunteers AND no company reps ever read the forums. In another If you spend 30min to file a report that checks you filled in every single field after finding the correct links, you just get a very long form email that if you read really carefully tells you a DIFFERENT link where you can file the report again. Sorry the stuff you typed last time was completely ignored/deleted.
So now I only have 2 plugins left not supported by FF4, should I upgrade to FF6? My bank also keeps saying FF4 is unsupported (only supports IE6+ and NS and FF3). Hmm, at this rate FF is going to lose users.
