Really? I got a couple a week a few years back, but lately it's been like 1 every 2-3mths... Sometimes I wonder if I shoulda gotten into the scam/spam business instead of studying.
If you RTFM, AllofMP3 pays royalties. RIAA has the right to collect on those via Russia's version of RIAA. They don't.
And the RIAA is rumored to be connected to the mob. SO what? Everyone is connected to everyone else (6 degrees of separation). You can't go after someone with a legal business just because they have friends who do illegal business.
He means the PS3 will overheat and die in a ball of flames way before CPU utilization approaches 100%... Game developers will take this as an omen and lower their requirements.
More worrying is that they are forced to register to use Myspace, IMs, etc even if they never heard of this 'internets' thing before. What kickbacks are lawmakers getting from Myspace?? The public needs to know!
court of human rights? How are their rights violated by software understanding their language? Unless they claim their language is encrypted, then they can sue under the DMCA.
1) Build silly museum from funds of fanatics - and we all know how well fanatics donate 2) Become major tourist attraction due to a) visiting fanatics b) people who can't believe such a museum can exist 3) Profit!
Plus, running the museum would be so much fun! Just make up whatever you feel like! Make fun of the tourists while explaining creationism as if you were serious!
1) You really care if someone stole your pw at say/. or a forum? And every dumb site now requires a login... 2) Banking sites don't seem to get their PWs saved anyway, as much as I'd like them to.
3) in the end, your ISP has your PWs, so if ur important enuf, ppl can get your stuff.
As a person who knows nothing of SL, I have to ask, once you create a scripted animal, what costs and labor must be spent to sell an extra copy? I guess I'm just wondering, why has it taken so long to make a cloner?
actually, I was more surprised that senators had the power to refuse things to be tacked on to other bills. Because so many unrelated bills had been tacked on to surefire bills in the past, I had always assumed the people involved had no choice
If that happened today, the RIAA would accuse him of having stolen the score, then memorized it in its entirety for the purpose of piracy and aiding terrorist agendas, and poor Mozart would have been spirited off to some torture camp in a middle eastern country and never heard of again.

Give it a few years, it'll go the way of nigerian spams.
instead of having a million perfect pixels
now we need a million perfect tiny mirrors
Cranial implants.
Which answers the question, YES, DRM must be Intrinsically Distasteful even if it allowed full legitimate usage.

How is this done? I have some memories I would like to implant myself with. :)
OTOH, if you made $1.3m, I don't think you'd care so much about the deportation...
"wall outlet" ease of the use + "it would drill a hole through your skin" = ultimate home security system

Real question:
Mums now: Why can't you study more and be smart like little Bobby down the street?
Mums later(?): Why can't you take memory enhancers and be smart like little Bobby down the street?
Wish I thot of it.

"a youth decided to attack other students at his school"
Shouldn't the crackdown be on youths rather than games?
Or maybe schools.
Yes. I think removing either youths or schools from society will definitely prevent the same kind of tragedy happening again.

Why does the law need to be limited to "electronic" correspondence at all? Wouldn't ANY type of correspondence be equally illegal?
I'd be more worried if they proudly stated that they are "highly irrelevant to the industries we serve"

80 votes? How about just a raising of hands at a town meeting followed by dancing and merriment?
Plus you should have a choice of entering an empty vote - ie you care enuf to go vote, but you don't care for what's on offer.
just like how etrust merely certifies that the site has a privacy policy are not that it is good
I would guess that currently Verisign certificates merely verify that the site has an identity, not necessarily that it is who think it is...
Next I would propose a certification for certification companies to certify that they actually certify their certificates...

Indeed. If an hour could be fatal, maybe being notified won't help if they take 2hrs to get there, and maybe she should be living in a hospital.
