iChat does support one-way video chat. So if your parents feel awkward about being on camera. Fine! They don't need to be. You can have a camera on your Mac and initiate a one-way chat. That way they can see and hear their grandson and you can talk to them. iChat will also work with most FireWire equipped camcorders.
I have found most webcams support one way video chat:
It's just a matter of righting the appropriate software for the Biometric Mouse, or run the windows software through WINE. Also a search for Linux Biometric yeilds some juicy results.
Kids who really want games will no doubt be able to get them...
If I was an eight year old kid and couldn't buy GTA or Manhunt at a store I would just download a copy of it off a some P2P network. After all, I am too young to know the difference between a video game and real life (or right and wrong) and therefore wouldn't have a problem illegally downloading GTA. All I know is I want to play that game.
BTW, most eight year olds can tell the difference between a video game and real life.
The only problem is Google is loved by all and you rarely find a story that is critical of them. And Microsoft is... (used by all?) and you often find stories that are critical of them.
Maybe a better approach would be to do a search for non-mainstream topics and see which engine returns the most relevant articles. You could also compare the interfaces of each and the amount of ads and their annoyance. And finally, compare each site's privacy policy to find which is more interested in delivering news and not collecting revenue or statistics.
I had trouble with a business based in Arizona (I'm Canadian) and also did not receive help from the Canadian or US authorities. I finally got through to those [unkind people] by complaining to their local comerice association.
What I wanna know is how is this thing going to look (physicly)? 65 000 processors. 14.9 terabytes of memory. Are we back in the age when computers filled entire rooms?
My Intellimouse Explorer (optical, if that's what you got) is going almost three years strong. My other Intellimouse (the one I drag around with my notebook) is about two years old and is still working properly. I've had no problems with the Intellimouse line but I fscking hate those sidewinder gamepads.
Or you could just put a big pile of money in the middle of office and say help yourselves. Be a little more creative and your employees will aprechiate it.

It's all from this whole website dedicated to making the lives of the windows users much easier. I like the animation of clippy getting stomped.
You can reconise him by the way he walks... er... waddles.

I get my jokes from Think Geek, too.
Physics it the science to end all science.
Yes it is chemistry, but it is physics, too.
Berzerk is where it's at.
Just attend an online school (like the University of Pheonix) and bypass the 24hr learn-a-thon; all the notes are already online.
Trust me, you won't have trouble sleeping at the lecture.
Just like the Windows eXPerience
Who needs DNS anyway? Us geeks can navagate the internet using only IP addresses.

Here is a more complete list of artists. Nickelback, Our Lady Peace, and Shania Twain are a few of the more noteworthy.
I was wondering the same thing this morning as I was polishing my gun.

Is that supposed to be a XSS attack or just a badly placed spoiler?
Static webpages aren't vunerable to this kind of attack. Yay!
What did you think Google runs on? Clever search algorithms?
So, instead of the Blue Screen of Death it would be the Black Hole of Annihilation?
