How many years ago was it that they gave up trying to get oil from shale, because it was too expensive? Well, wait till you see the process I've developed. It will be the cheapest oil ever to splash in their faces, and an unlimited supply of it, an untapped supply that will make the biggest oil pool look like a mud puddle. " ( ATLAS SHRUGGED )

Ayn Rand was right all along! She even got the state right! What's next... a motor that will draw static electricity from the atmosphere?
Alright, my bad. Space opera is a sub-genre of science fiction: more light-hearted, action-oriented, almost a fantasy tale. Much like Flash Gordon, and unlike 2001.
No, Windows is not a virus. Here's what viruses do:
- They replicate quickly - okay, Windows does that.
- Viruses use up valuable system resources, slowing down the system as they do so - okay, Windows does that.
- Viruses will, from time to time, trash your hard disk - okay, Windows does that too.
- Viruses are usually carried, unknown to the user, along with valuable programs and systems. Sigh... Windows does that, too.
- Viruses will occasionally make the user suspect their system is too slow (see 2) and the user will buy new hardware. Yup, that's with Windows, too.
Until now it seems Windows is a virus but there are fundamental differences: viruses are well supported by their authors, are running on most systems, their program code is fast, compact and efficient and they tend to become more sophisticated as they mature.
It's sad to see them shut doors, but... if their purpose was to tell the story of Myst, and End of Ages is the last chapter of the saga, they have accomplished their mission. Acta est fabula, plaudite!
I can't say I really miss Propeller Arena for the Dreamcast - I have a copy, it was leaked a long time ago (try those "backup" sellers or bittorrents). But still, it's sad that such an awesome game, even completed, was canned.
Castlevania Ressurrection would have been a strict action game - which makes it better than any of the recent Castlevanias. After the good but overrated Symphony of the Night, Konami has churned tons of action+RPG mixes - always pretty good, but never great.
The last Castlevania truly worthy of this name is Bloodlines for the Sega Genesis.
From the video I had seen (the trailer in the Myth: Total Codex CD1), I thought it was going to be just a third-person action game, a la Tomb Raider or Max Payne.
Then I must assume you would appreciate the Star Fox 2 ROM to play with your SNES emulator of choice? (and no, it's not the beta, it's the full version, completed and translated by AGTP)
That's not true! Bill Gates does not smoke!
Final Fantasy VI was the best of the series.
I didn't know Jonathan Ive had changed his surname's spelling!
...did Hayabusa get his revenge?
...when people say "literally" when they mean "figuratively" - the very opposite!
...perpendicular?
And saving face is a good thing? I thought everyone here wanted to see SCO go down in flames...

Yours is also a bad example, since Star Wars is not science fiction, but a space opera. 2001: A Space Odyssey is a better example.
I thought our enemies would talk themselves to death, and we would bury them with their own confusion.
...oh wait, that's another company .
"What is the big deal", you ask? The site to which my sig links explains in detail what the "big deal" is, read it more carefully!

So Windows is not a virus.
It's a bug.
You never thought it was popular? Back then it was the best-selling computer game ever! Check the Wikipedia article.

How much would it cost if you'd use Macs?
I think this site has it:

Damn you for making me recall that!

No, seriously, what's the point of a manned space flight to Mars? What can they do that robots can't? Is it really worth the cost and the risk?
I can think of two arcade games:
Rampage (Bally Midway, 86)
King of the Monsters (SNK, 91)
Best. Game. EVER.
"Couldn't locate tomorrow.google.com"... whoa! You've slashdotted Google! I didn't think that was possible!
