Phantasy Star Online is better than any MMORPG for many reasons:
- it's extremely easy to amass more money than you'll ever spend.
- the really cool stuff is obtained from quests, not stores.
- item storage is limited.
- it is multiplayer, but not massive.
- players can't hurt each other.
- it is an action-RPG.
- the viewpoint is from behind the player, not above, which is better for action.
This way, veterans usually give away what they no longer need to the newbies. And everyone helps each other in what's actually fun: killing monsters! I think this is much more fun than all the Evercracks out there.

Why, are all christians opposed to pr0n? I don't think so! Yet, I heard the absence of violence and sex in the Myst series is because of the Miller bros' religion or something...
The original MK movie was pretty good actually, as it was well-written (especially if compared to that Street Fighter travesty), the visuals were right on, and the soundtrack was excellent.
Or that's what people might think, because it looks just like those fake "search engines" that only throw ads on you and sneak spyware through IE's holes.
If women think a natural, WHOLE man is a freak, that's a cultural problem in the USA, because pretty much all women in the rest of the world think the exact opposite: cutting boybits is NOT COOL.
If there is actually an old-toon-to-movie trend now, will someone, please, please, PLEASE I BEG YOU DAMNIT, make a movie based on the coolest 80s animated series - Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors?
SONIC ADVENTURE 2 - it had real ads for Soap Shoes, as well as tons of obviously fake (and funny) ads. Makes sense, since they make grinding shoes, and Sonic wears grinding shoes in that game.
SHENMUE - it had ads for watches and soft drinks. This makes sense because such products actually existed in the world the game simulates - mid-80s Japan. It would not make sense if I found a Coke machine in a medieval RPG village, but an ad for a sports brand suits a sports game.
And most importantly: in these examples, all the ads are very discreet. They are just objects and textures. They don't force you to wait before playing the game. Video ads, on the other hand, would probably be just as annoying as those damned ads in movie theatres!

The Cube was too expensive to woo the home users (iMac), and it was not expandable enough for the high end users ("tower" PowerMac). It was a beautiful machine, but it could not find its market niche.
...stop humping the "laser". Maybe you and the "laser" should go get a freakin room.
It will still look fake.

Two good examples of in-game ads done correctly:
SONIC ADVENTURE 2 - it had real ads for Soap Shoes, as well as tons of obviously fake (and funny) ads. Makes sense, since they make grinding shoes, and Sonic wears grinding shoes in that game.
SHENMUE - it had ads for watches and soft drinks. This makes sense because such products actually existed in the world the game simulates - mid-80s Japan. It would not make sense if I found a Coke machine in a medieval RPG village, but an ad for a sports brand suits a sports game.
