I have an s600, Quality is OK, not super,
The ink for it is very cheap, and is changed 1 color at a time.
Knockoff inks available for it are sub dirt-cheap.
I've used it a LOT and it's still hapilly chugging along.
If 20 people call the police and Say I'm a bookie, and the police get a warrant. They can ask for a warant to take my records and computers and examine them.
This isn't the same as being convicted.
It's simple enough for the newbies. (I know it's not the most powerful, but it is by far the most convenient).
You have to admit AOL's marketing is pretty good

Years ago when I did technical support, AOL was absolute garbage.
Besides cleaning up their act and lessening their propriataryness, they have also added halfway decent tools for newbies.
Now I would never recommend AOL to an experianced netizien, but They have cleaned up their act and made a product that I would recommend them to a newby.
It's a good article that explains how to write it so it is enforceable:
Guideline #2 below is seldom ever followed, and all 3 must hold true to be enforceable.
Non-compete agreements are fairly common in Oregon and recognized as a legitimate method of protecting an employer's confidential and proprietary information. But, state public policy generally discourages them because these contracts are restraints of trade. Non-competition agreements must:
1) Be reasonably necessary to protect a legitimate interest of the employer
2) Not impose an unreasonable hardship upon the person against whom they are asserted
3) And not be injurious to the public interest.
In many states, Including Oregon, where I am from the non-competes are often uninforceable because they are a restriant of trade.
Pretty much any "at will" state, where an employer can fire you for any or no reason at all without concequence also comes with the tradeoff of non-competes being worth less than the paper they are written on.
The exception to this is if someone leaves your company to work for the competition. However in most cases these are folks who were laid off or terminated.
If you cannot provide this person with work, you absolutely cannot tell them what work they may find elsewhere.
Typing was THE most valueable skill I took out of school. As a result I can now crank out code as fast as my head can think it up, and I don't loose my train of thought because so much attention is on the keyboard.
I have a co-worker, who's job duties were supposed to be about %20 data entry %80 administrative. Because he is a terrible typist he spends %80 of his time doing %20 of his work. And because of this, he realllllllly sucks at his job.
So let this be a warning to you kiddies out there: LEARN TO TYPE BY TOUCH, AND ALWAYS WORK AT IT WHENVER YOU ARE AT YOUR COMPUTER!!
Although I myself haven't had it, several of my friends have. The only real side effects are temporary (blurry vision and double lights while driving at night) so make sure you are prepared for a little recovery time.
The technology and the prices keep getting better as well.
One thing you will need to keep in mind is even though you might be restored to good vision, normal aging will still continue to lessen your vision. However you'll still be better off.
There are a few types of eye problems that are not corrected by the surgery though. So before you get your hopes up first ask if you are a good candidate for the surgery.
Backwards compatibility, yea compatible with poorly written software. It's about time that old stuff gets patched or thrown out. I say Kudos to Microsoft on this one!
There are some excelellet Ideas in that upgrade, things we have always complained they should do. We all knew there would be issues with old software, but security problems have reached a point where I say it is very very much worth it.
I think the reporter picked a bad example of lost history.
The ballon attacks are very well known here in Oregon where it happened. I've also seen several documentaries that mention the ballons.
In fact only a week ago, I visted a small museum in that area that had an exhibit dedicated to that very subject.
Similar Ideas have been tried and failed terribly.
If I want to watch it just once, I rent it, If I want to watch it forever I buy it.
And I'm not going to bother buying one I can't watch forever.
I agree civilian based exploration is the future.
But that is still some time in the future. For now NASA is still our best option and they shouldn't be abandoned until we can say with all honestly that the private sector does a better job.
Seeing how faith in Microsoft's security is at a all time low I would consider this pretty stupid marketing on their part.
Microsoft could completely destroy the antivirus industry just by making better products.

I don't trust it, It appears less scientific than slashdot polls. If Kerry won by that much, or heck even won at all I would eat my hat.
So in China will these cats be banned as GM Food?

Although more people are being responsible, the irresponsible ones are living much much longer and infecting more people before they die.

It's true most of us on Slashdot could probabbly fix it in 1/4 of that time.
However, by the time we reach that level of expertise we become too busy or advanced in our careers to do sideline projects like that.

That just has waaaay too much comic value not to share.
I'm sure gonna miss my lil ole dopamine receptors.

I'm dyslexic and have the handwriting of a 2nd grader. Almost nobody knows this and it doesn't hurt me a bit because I can type over 200 wpm.
If I were self taught the basices I doubt I would be able to break 40wpm with hunt & peck.

That really didn't seem all that scathing a response to me.
Hey, I bet you guys don't get ladies with 3 knockers in your neck of the woods. Mutation can be fun!!
Get breast implants. Then you won't need a girlfriend ;)

Seriously man, contact NASA. I'm not a big Reality TV Fan, but I think I would watch somthing like this. It's a very good idea.
