    my friend has a "new" jeep with only around 30k on it, the (manual) transmission pops out of gear when it gets hot.

    I've got a ford and it runs just fine with 90k miles on it, the only repairs i have put into it were the result of an unfortunate mailbox incident and normal wear items like plugs, wires and tires.

    there are information processing issues with trying to make grey goop weapons, and that is totally ignoring the issue of anyone making such a weapon is likely to find themselves destroyed by their own weapons due to either rogue agents or simple accidents.

    you are misunderstanding just how huge space is, docking ships in orbit is tricky and that is on an orbit not a full unrestricted 3D volume of space, and that is with the other craft cooperating.

    trying to get a missile to do it at speeds fast enough to be useful, while sorting spoofed emissions from electronic warfare drones and dodging point defense lasers, all while too far away for your ships computers and sensors to do much good.

    and you are doing this for web design to be accessed by users where exactly 0% of them will have their hardware and software configured to get anything out of the extra work and money you expended, assuming they have hardware even capable of doing it were they to do it.

    because the police have a lot of guns and they work for the government which has a military with even more guns.

    My father's old rear projection TV was a Magnavox with Smart Sound. it wasn't perfect and you probably want to turn it off during movies, but it did a pretty good job.

    if it's "actually quite expensive" it doens't fall under the category of *reasonable* accommodation. though if you were to purchase it, they would probably be required under the ADA to allow it to be set up, provided it did not disrupt other employees.

    it makes sense for the LCD market to stagnate a bit now. first there was the inrush as people did a lateral move from CRTs to LCD's that actually didn't look as good as the CRT, then LCD's got bigger and sharper, then after that their speed got high enough for gaming and other fast paced things to be unaffected. After that there hasn't been much to do to them so what's the need to turn out new models as often as before?

    no it's pretty much the same shit, except instead of angelfire and geocities pages made by idiots with animated gif flames and spinning skulls it's myspace pages with animated gif glitter and spinning rims.

    though now we have streaming MP3s and flv video instead of MIDIs so things have actually gotten worse.

    salaried doesn't mean exempt, you cannot make non-exempt workers work beyond their work day without extra compensation.
