A mathematical probability depends entirely on our ability to understand all of the variables that form a complete picture.

Based on our ability to predict the weather, it is very doubtful that we have a complete model, and we do see activity every year that both increase and decrease these particular odds. Until we have a complete model/understanding, you may say it is a near fact based on probability, but you would be wrong, it is just a belief, based on a group of assumptions.

While it may run Gentoo, it is not stated as such, and could be very well be something else.

I am not a vice president for the Hair Club for Men. In my best guess most people do not change behavior or preference due to advertisement.

What will happen is an annoying little transparent rectangle advertising a product will be placed on top of the program. A lot of channels are already placing their symbol over the programming.

In doing business this way, HP and SGI own the technologies, SCO has no leg to stand on.

Be aware that Microsoft never announced that they completed source verification after the publicly known week long break-in that they had. Please note that the trusted sources are protected from the internet. Acknowledge the people at Debian who did a great job of informing you, thus protecting you. There was no exploited security hole. It was human error when a developer lost control of his password.

The twist is that the war is being fought on computers, and compliant residents of those "destroyed" areas obediently report to disintegration chambers, where their "virtual" death is made literal.
