Why pay 7 euro to use a phone VOIP + your regular phone line....that is totaly crazy.
Just switch to VOIP entirely and you actually pay less, unless you dont have access to it.
But again, most phone companies give you rebates in the week after 18h00 for long distance calls , so you really need to to do your math before paying extra to get VOIP while still holding on your regular service.
i get VOIP for 24.99 (cdn)a month with unlimited long distance calls in canada + voicemail.
COME ON, people in the office have already a hard time understanding Windows desktop and almost everything is IN YOUR FACE! Switching to Linux would kill them uterly, imagine the wasted hours explaining to each and everyone of them where to find their application, printers,e-mails and other stuff.Companies just dont have the money or time to teach people how to use a computer and even less changing an O.S because some dude have a thing against PAYING to get a software like Microsoft.
As for less attack, i'm sorry but Linux gets attacked as often as a windows desktop, the only difference is there are less holes, but again it depends on the knowledge you have about Linux and what you installe with the O.S., because ex;some version of red hat comes fully loaded with software that could be a hazard to the user and could be used by a hacker.
There is too much confusion in linux and all their different distributions. Compatibility issues is the most critical of them i think, since not every hardware is supported on Linux.
Sorry but going with linux is like going back to windows 3.11 and dos where you had to run memmaker and modify you config.bat and autoexec, bat just to get some software to work and i'm not even talking about hardware setup here.
(I'm not bitching against Apache or server application but only for regular desktop)
After reading this article,,i'm thinking it's probably easier to enter earth's atmosphere and not burn up in a space shuttle than going outside to put my thrash on the corner.
Your right!T.V is pretty much useless for the U.S. citizens because they still think that they are only one in the world and pretty much doesnt know anyway what's happening north or south of their borders.
well 8% of the browser market is not a wind of change....when they get to 50% then i guess you can say MS is no longer a standard.
But right now, it's not supported on some web based software. I have experienced lots of time out, even dns errors on pages compare to IE. I still use Mozilla 99% of the time but cant say i'll get rid of IE for some time. At least not unitl it's fully intergrated and supported everywhere.
"It's like us in Europe saying we won't buy American stuff because there's earthquakes in California. If the widget you are buying is made in New Jersey, it's not important."
It's not the same thing where you, as a consumer can choose to buy elsewhere or another brand if it becomes unavailable due to disaster. But When your company's technical help is crippled and you rely only on that, your screwed!
Again like i replied to that other person...How many major earthquakes in that region? not much, even if you count the last big one a couple of years ago!
How many times do you see each year on the news ab out severe weather/flood/hurricane in India...a lot more than here! And there is still the political and plague factors that, unless we get chemically sprayed, doesnt bother us much!
Unfortunately i'm in Canada where major tremors caused by earthquakes are usually non-existent and when it happens,we associate those tremors to passing trucks, train or body functions;).
Ok so it is! i just checked, but by comparison unless you count mount st-helen, there isnt much large scale destruction caused by weather! even with California resting on shifting tectonic plates.
Outsourcing in a country like india is suicide. It ' like a couple of years ago there was a major flood in taiwan so the prices of chips and ram increased because production stopped,,,nobody thinks about those facts when they outsource in country that are plagued by harsh weather, bad political climate. Here the risk are very low, back there what will happen when one of those IT sweat shops falls in a earthquake? where will be the support a company needs when all the satff is buried under a thousand ton of debris?
Unless it's so cheap that even with the remote possibility of a major disaster , it's still cheaper to outsource there.
ha o.k! Then it's moslty good for people who do long distance calls on a regular basis.

So yes, you can go without t.v. !
Dont forget about the fact that they made a deal to buy MS licence for 1$ because they are using mostly pirated copies.
they cant afford anything so they say!

What about someone who doesnt know his left from right!! Can get messy!
plug-in for software and plugin behind your ear is totally different.....read the full dialog before posting comment that gets us nowhere.
I havent seen the "Penis enlargment" hardware,It's everywhere on the net, i assume it would be in that list.
