Wasnt pixar trying to get out from under Disney after "Cars" so they could continue to make their own animations and keep all the profit? I guess i am just confused about why Pixar would want to all of a sudden sell out and change their company strategy when they could stay status quo and not selling to the likes of Disney. Why such a turnaround ? could someone please explain this to me from both a business model and common sense strategy(if there is one)? i just dont get it.
you would be suprised at how "geeks" are looked upon by your average girl, no matter what any news article or study says. notice i said your everyday normal girl, hot or not. Sure there are girls here and there that do web design, do a little gaming, and know how to do more on their computers other than IM, add to her 'myspace' and type something up in Word, but for the most part girls are right brained..fascinated by art, fashion & design, cooking, interior design and other things that fall closely into that category. I have found that most girls i talk to, chat with or come in contact with shutter in amazement or just give me the "deer in the headlights look" when the infamous question comes up.."so..what do you do for a living?" and/or "what do you like to do?" and i tell her that i am a C++ programmer and i do OpenGL programming on the side, i have a LAN at home(which leads to a whole other explanation if she is bold enough to ask) and i like playing video games. She might think its cool or even muster that to you but in the back of her mind she is thinking how much in common this guy would have with me and the answer would be about 0.05%.
Ohhh he is a programmer so he must smart and he has a LAN?? huh? what a nerd.. likes playing video games? what a socialphobe..umm i want to have kids thank you...i dont want to marry a 10 year old still playing video games...this is what i think your average girl would think.. but hey i could be wrong..
ok i worded that wrong -- the technology behind the bluetooth devices will undergo a major change, because of the viruses in 2006 that will bring havok on the devices. thanks for clearing that up for me:) what do you think of the other two?
you can flame me if you wish but remember that i told you ahead of time. they are harsh predictions but due to certain sources and readings these are my personal conclusions..
#1. Playstation 3 will not be released in 2006...thats right will NOT.
#2. Bluetooth technology will suffer from new viruses..major viruses..nothing like the paris hilton fiasco. This will lead way to a technology that will make bluetooth obsolete. watch and see.
#3. SGI will file for bankruptcy. Mark It.
Yes these are harsh predictions and i cant say that i will get them all right but i am confident that i will get at least one of these right. i would love to hear your comments..and no flames.. serious discussion.
i need to look into this for myself. when i am asleep i might as well be in a coma.. i need 3 alarms to wake me up in the morning..well at least 2 , one of them counting my cell phone, turned up all the way and in the other room so i have to get up to turn it off. when i wake up, regardless of whether i have had 6 hours or 10 it takes me just as long to get out of bed.
sleep, then they wouldnt have caused such an uproar. i forsee now thousands upon hundreds of thousands of new blogs about to be created so the webmaster can take down their favorite(or not so favorite) web site by having everyone hit F5.
seriously. now if i can just get my hands on some plutonium i can fire this baby up and produce the 1.21 jigawatts necessary to go back and forth through time...
these companies are always hiring it seems and just not in DC, for IT professionals, from programming to security. 100% of the time they will sponser you to get your clearance(secret or TS), that is, if the type of work you are doing will require you to have a clearance.. which mostly likely the work will be in this area.
First AOL has lost nearly 6 MILLION customers since 2003, bringing their total subscriber base close to 20 million, down from about 26.5 million in late 2002. Their numbers will exponentially decrease as cable, DSL, VoIP and numerous other broadband technologies both mature and become more stablilized, therefore bringing in more customers. This is inevitable.Dial up is dead. As a side note, these 9.95 dial up NetZero conglomerates are riding the same wing, milking a dying technology to the very end, to get rich quick or get as much profit as they can before they will not be able to sustain a lucrative business with little or no customer base.
Secondly, why does google want to associate themselves with a company that is has been and is under class action lawsuits for unethical business practices, such as billing people even after they cancelled their subscriptions , double-billing schemes and recent news of their underhandedness at the expense and personal well-being of customers. If you think this is just nonsense go over to the gripe Logs and here to read what people are saying -- some pretty amazing and maybe surprising stories. I am sure there are sub-links to other stories from there.
Lastly, about AOL's so called "exclusive" content.. what is so exclusive about it? What information does google not have for free out on the web for users that AOL has? Is it worth 5%?? It just seems like AOL is buying old garbage waiting to be thrown out on trash day. The AOL for broadband scheme is a complete and utter joke. First off AOL doesnt offer broadband, they just offer their neat little toy interface to go along with your broadband connection.. and all that for $9.95...and for what?
i have had my comp now for 2 years..XP Pro, McAfee Firewall & Anti-Virus w/ Lavasoft AdAwareSE..never had a virus, spyware, or blue screen and use it heavily and extesively.. for heavy duty gaming, development and 3D modeling, plus i am all over the web. Just as a thought though i dont go around web sites that are more likely to have viruses such porn, anime or anything like that. My take is, is that if you do, then all bets are off as far as being 100% protected.. you get what you ask for.
I also have cookies set to prompt. that way the cookies that are allowed are ones such as crucial websites that i need for certain message boards, banking online and anything else that i need to supply my username and password. Actionscript is only allowed for certain website and just for kicks the windows firewall is turned on.
Just goes to show that properly administered correctly windows can be stable and virus free.

the supreme court defined a sentence from a Dansbury Baptist letter from Thomas Jefferson to mean complete separation of religion from public or a preference over it by the gov't when the letter in question was not about any such thing but about an established church taking over the religious sect.. which is exactly what they ran away from in Europe..where the Anglican church were telling people how and where to vote, instead of voting in their own free will, etc. Its funny that after reading this letter, he got on his horse and went straight to the capitol of the United States to do none other than to take part in DAILY worship that was held there..and at the capitol building no less. doesnt sound like much to me that he wanted religion away from the public life at all, unless he changed his mind within 2 hours.
i saw where some didnt want the measure to pass b/c it would be a separatation of church and state issue of religion. i wish the media would invite people who would keep bringing this point out. God != religion. Christianity is NOT a religion.. its not about a religion, its about a relationship with God.
you are upset b/c the board is trying to define certain things? the supreme court defined a sentence from a Dansbury Baptist letter from Thomas Jefferson to mean complete separation of religion from public or a preference over it by the gov't when the letter in question was not about any such thing but about an established church taking over the religious sect.. which is exactly what they ran away from in Europe..where the Anglican church were telling people how and where to vote, instead of voting in their own free will.

4*You would not be reading this headline
