    They'll think Mozilla really could be sued by MS, because they're both Web browsers..

    Which is why, thank God, there has never been a worm written by a real cracker. It's all been from good old Windows documented exploits.

    Huge diffrence.

    You still need a local account to make use of a local root exploit.

    You don't for remote root exploits.

    Remote root exploits can be used in worms, local (for the most part) cannot.

    Not to say that local root exploits should be overlooked, especially when they seem realtivly simple to create (e.g., bad symlinks)

    Besides, this is supposedly an *UNKNOWN* local root exploit..

    I was under the impression that there are always undisclosed root exploits for every major OS used, you just don't know about them.

    I mean, this is a big crack, i don't expect it to be a well publicized exploit.

    And, unless im mistaken, all you have to do is drop in a floppy or a cd thats bootable, and you have complete access to the entire system as root.

    Nitpicking, i know, but actally two things were edited in FLCL.

    "shit" was edited out of ep. 4, and an enlarged penis was blurred out of ep. 6

    And if you want to consider it editing, due to time constraints, the credits were cut out of ep 6.

    It's interesting, but he did not actally crack the encyrption\decryption, he simply cracked Quicktime to dump off the decrypted contents.
