You get one of the few ISPs that'll actually give you a full IPV6 stack to your house and suddenly *they* owe *you* for not routing part of the IPV6 network to you? How quickly people gain an undeserved sense of entitlement.
Only 300 metric tons? By doing a simple 1 minute Google search I've found that a single cloud weighs on the order of 100 tons-100,000 tons and more.
Great bullshit kdawson.
Far behind in what? A 10Mb pipe? Something 95% of people don't need?
The only people than need fatter pipes at low cost are movie and software pirates.
I'm glad you don't set government policy. You're the epitome of "Subsidize things I like."
Slashdot readers tend to read patent abstracts instead of claims and make assumptions about prior art from there. This is equivalent to reading the back cover of a book to see the story is the exact same as another book.
I can't believe a question with a huge glaring hole in it got posted on the front page.
If an invention has ever existed before and can be proven it can't be patented. This is what "prior art" is.
Well you can't do anything now since you consented to her taking them by letting her in your backpack.
Sounds like you just got a lesson in 4th amendment rights. Never let anyone, including authority figures cop teachers, have your personal property ever. Even if you have nothing to hide.
So it's invested in what? A fund that's 11 trillion in cash debt? Quite possibly 40 trillion in balance sheet debt? Remember this post through your lifetime. I hope some day it helps you come to realization.
This is just an editor rant. I'm sorry, kdawson is just a horrible editor. First he posts "google is horrible they're not giving bonuses and feeding the masses dogfood; P.S. use linux" Then he posts this article which dozens of people have immediately spotted as B.S. I want my 7 minutes of reading Slashdot back.
The fact that the OS community uses MD5 still just shows how slow it is to move to new technology.
MD5 is broken, it's trivial to collide. There are free alternative hashing algorithms. Stop using MD5, stop using MD5, STOP USING MD5!
It sounds like you already have your mind made up so I'd just go with that.
Libraries are what make or break languages. Libraries are the cornerstone of modern programming. No libraries? You need to start learning digital logic and buy a breadboard.
You picked two states with some of the poorest missile delivery ability in the world. You might as well have said Somalia because NK and Iran have no ability so launch ICBMs.
What happened to the kdawsonfud tags? Are these censored? When tags first came out they were always tagged with this but now when I tag them it never appears. It seems very odd these would be censored.
Question already asked on Slashdot
on
Should IT Unionize?
·
· Score: 1, Troll
Ah the union parasites are at it again, trying to latch on to a new industry because they've sucked the existing ones dry. This question has already been posted on Slashdot and already answered a resounding no. It's a shame unions have preyed on our poor for over a century; IT is too educated and informed to fall for the union bullshit.
Dig a hole, install pipe + water + pump, sink heat in to the ground. Ongoing costs = electricity to run a pump that only has to overcome fluid friction loss within the pipe. Cost variance over a year through different seasons = 0 since the ground in mostly a constant temp unlike an AC unit trying to sink heat to the air in the summer.

Geothermal energy is bar-none, the cleanest, cheapest energy there is. We should be tapping Yellowstone for energy.
This guy is happy his wife doesn't understand numbers and is pleased with a 10 year ROI?
Since when has Slashdot trumpeted fascism? Now we're cheering outlawing things because they're offensive?

Eiffel recently added void safety.

Government enforced "openness" will allow government controlled "decency regulation."
This.
I wouldn't be surprised if either party introduced this bill but at least place the blame for this specific idiocy on in the correct place.
If only it was productive to laugh when people realize their savior is similar to their enemy. I hate politicians.

You don't need to file with the copyright office to have a copyright. Simply claiming copyright is enough.

Best exercise I've ever done.
