    The article also doesn't take into account the testers skills at using the web for information as oppposed to going to the library or phone-a-friend as he has always done. The beauty of google also is in the fact that you can get it wrong multiple times and finally get it right and have it before you can get in your car and go to the library. That friend you are calling for answers is also googling it

    one ting everybody fails to mention which I think might be most important is that the computer uses analysis to determine which move to make. If Kaspy tries to recreate the same game, the computer analyses the moves and determines that following this tree of moves leads to its defeat and as such prunes this branch and plays a different variation. on the other hand if the tables were turned and the computer is playin a variation which it won on, it would keep on with the branch until its opponent makes a different move. Now understand that the computer usually plays what it considers to be its strongest variation at its earliest possible time and is not prone to blunders like humans are, if it gets in line to a variation that is stronger for him than for his opponent, it usually gets an advantage and tries to squeeze it into a win.

    that concept of indirect attacks is called discovery. I find it interesing that its search tree did not include this though.

    the programmers or groomers are going to tweak the computer not to respond with the same moves. Also, the computer will be playing with white pieces next go so it would be the one with the first move and such an advantage.

    Remember that a contract is an agreement by both parties to certain expectations. If the owners are willing to take the risk today that the player will be performing at a certain level tommorow then its teir loss. forget underperforming athletes, how about over expecting owners

    The money raised from those scams were actually used for something else (read personal decadence). This was sponsored from selling oil (from dead dinosaurs = fossil). This while not a giant step is a step forward meaning less money going to the pockets of thieves in government.     You are technicalyy ok but you might already have a problem with XP running Simple Service Discovery Protocol and your linksys will not help with this cos it only does simple NAT by default. Check out http://xforce.iss.net/xforce/alerts/id/advise106 for more info.
