That's not completly true. Overall there are problably about half the cars that will never increase in value and never considered a classic. There are very few classic cars from the 70s, and I don't think they ever will be. A 1990 Toyota Camry will never be a classic car, neither will a 1990 Ford Taurus, or other vanilla cars like that, a vew small percentage of the major makes of cars after the 1960s will end up being classics in the future.
I know what you mean, and I'm not talking out of my ass... I own a 1956 Ford that will never lose a penny in value, and probably go up.
I'd be willing to bet the poster has read "rich dad poor dad" which is a stupid little book that puts forth the idea that unless the house is actually making you money... it's not an asset.
you are right though, a house (even as a residence) is a sound investment.
Cisco advertises 25 miles at legal power limits, and I haven't heard of them not certifying it for that length. I think it depends on the partner you work with, my training has been that 25 miles is something we can offer. The data rate will drop at that point, 11Mb is only good for under 20, but you can stay under 26dBm EIRP at 25+ miles. In a perfect world, of course.
I work as a systems engineer for a cisco partner, I really hope we land a long range bridge project. Aligning bridges at 20 miles sounds like it would be a fun challenge.
Looks like someone else pointed you at the right gear, the 350 bridge + dish will cover 25 miles without a problem as long as you have excellent line of sight and good elevation on both ends.
The airport base station doesn't have a range anywhere NEAR 14km. There are lots of antenna out there for lots of base stations (including the Airport ones) that will give you that range, but Apple has not "had this for years" any more than every other vendor that sells products with the option of adding an antenna.
Hell, Cisco has products that have 25 MILE ranges, with the right antenna.
"Is this to compensate for the decreasing number and quality of the games that are showcased, or does it simply reflect the fact that the Western games industry is increasingly mainstream? "
When was the games industy 'underground'? exactly?
This stuff sounds like typical tradeshow biz to me.
Actually if you pay attention, it's a mix of Mac and PC stuff the entire time. The windows are Mac, the cursors are PC (which means it was probably actually done using a PC) and there are a few other little things that make it neither a Mac or a PC competely.
I thought it was very funny, and I'm certain it was done that way on purpose... maybe just to piss off people like you, and amuse people like me.
A flat-4 scooby engine could probably sit higher in the engine compartment, making the water issue less of a problem. It's also very light, and would leave more room for the wheels being pulled up while it's in the water.
They are using a 4sp Manual tranny, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the bottleneck. 300HP is more than enough to push a car past 125, even a big fat pig of a camaro.
Adding AWD to that car would be pointless and expensive.
Except that the WRX is a flat-4 which makes it much more shallow, that could help in getting it out of the way of the water, or more room to fold up the wheels. Not to mention being lighter than the LS motors.
Well, the internals of those engines are essentially the same (unless the STi has a larger turbo, I'm not up on the scooby scene that much.), and the HP difference is made up in tuning, so depending on how they set up the motor, it could make anywhere from 220 to 350HP+, ripping up a regular WRX would be a lot more cost effective, especially if they found a wrecked one.
Putting that engine in a Camaro is like dropping a 'vette engine in a Pinto: totally stupid. But maybe the camaro was easier to waterproof.
That statement is amusing to be, since "Joe Consumer" does not use RAID. Joe Gearhead, and/or Joe Supergeek might, but not Mr. Consumer.
Riiight. Because when I want credibility, I look for random semi-anonymous college kids and geeks with egos to stroke for me hard-hitting news.
Har har har. Am I the only person that thinks we should have a (Score:-1 Pun) option? :)
That would be the MPAA... gotta keep your fascist "AA"s straight.
So a house increasing in value is a liability? Is any item gaining value without "generating income" a liability? Stocks?

But see the difference between cars and computers is that cars lose their value very fast... oh... wait.
You're not from seattle, are you?
The IIfx (MSRP $9,900) had a 40Mhz 68030, the fastest in the II line.

I am not doubting the quality of the movie, I was just amused by the poster's idea that $ = Quality.
Because we all know that a movie's ticket sales are a direct reflection of its quality.
Even ants the size of horses.

Odd, you're right. I guess that makes the STi more worth it after all.
AWD is not a silver bullet when it comes to handling, there are many many things that make a bigger difference.
Yeah, it sounds like it's really a Camaro in name only, especially if it's rear-engined.

They're both 2.5l
