In fact, I think I'm the only person I know who runs a legit copy of windows, and I only do that because I have a friend who sent me a copy from the Microsoft Employee Store.

I told him putting your computer as DMZ was just as good as putting a kickme sign up. He argued with me and told me windows is 100% secure, that I just didn't know how to secure it.

I think thats 100% right, you should target your resume for your job.

I've applied for a few jobs and was turned down only to find out it was because of too much information on my resume.

when employers see lots of skills, they also see people who want lots of money. I suggest tailoring that resume for the job. I dont know many ISP support offices that care if you can program in 743892734 different languages and are a master of quake. (well maybe the quake part.) And i'm damn sure that a small office application programmer doesn't need to explain his exp in doing phone support for 5 years.

Anyways, I would highlight the table, copy it, and paste it into a email and it would be totally unformatted. After about 5 tries I fired up IE and it worked perfectly.

So anyone know if its a problem with outlook or a problem with Firefox? I dont seem to notice this at home with FireFox/Thunderbird combo.

I always send .doc and .pdf and explain why and let them know I prefer them to view the pdf because i can make sure it looks the way I wanted it to look. (its an accepted fact that ms office doesn't always look the same in different versions.)

It landed my my current postion fairly well. Hell, i know a few designer friends who's resume is a flash program on a buisness card cd. Looks very awesome.

I guess it depends on the job, some companys want smart creative people, others want drones. If you know the job wants a drone, and you need a job, be a drone.

It has something to do with capitalism (Hope I can still spell) and free market. See when you dont like a product you dont use it, and if the product really sucks, other people wont use it. Then the company either changes the product, goes out of buisness, or sues its end users for copywrite infringment.

See telling people who dont like it to not use it is much more proactive then bitching about it and still using it as you seem to suggest.
