I've got a quote for ya. "Kill em all and let god sort em out." Maybe the problem then isn't the penalty, but the system. So I would like to update my previous system. We need a better criminal justice system, and more crimes resulting in the death penalty.

  4. I just learned a good chunk of assembly on Learning Computer Science via Assembly Language · · Score: 0

I just spent the last few months hunkered down with the Art of Assembly book by Randall Hyde. I worked my way though all the HLA functions in a matter of days, then switched to writing in masam and using hla's output to figure out how he was doing things so i could replicate them. I still suck at floating point, but i'm getting better and hope to start in on sse and mmx soon. I have learned way more about how computers work in the last few months then in the last 8 years as a programmer. I know some C, some C++ (never really use them, i do lots of web scripting), a lot of perl (I love perl), php, VB and the .NET's (who doesn't know vb) and of course my new baby that I do a lot of at work, java.

I'm finding myself writing less code now that I understand better how to problem solve. And I am not complaining as much about language syntax. But I do find myself over analysing the issue. I have to keep reminding myself that sometimes their isn't some super awesome way to do things and you just have to grind it out.

Overall, I recomend learning x86 assembly. Learning it the way Randall Hyde suggests was really easy to anyone who knows C syntax. And if you do as he suggests and slowly stop using his code and start using "pure" assembly slowly (writing your own loops, and functions and learning the hard way to preserve your registers) It doesn't seem as bad as it would if you had to jump in and write your own print function on day 1.

Why not do what we did when we first came to america. Launch tons of ships designed to become parts with their payload. If 90% of the cost is getting the material into orbit, why not create dumbfire ships that are materials for the space station?

Then they charged me late fee's and nsf fee's to my loan for bad checks, that put me over the limit on my loan (it was new) and then they charged me over the limit fee's. Needless to say, I had to fight them, and after months of fighting, my loan still ended up 500.00 more then what I opened. I took out a loan at a new bank, payed them off and told the rep to suck it.
