1. STFW
2. Drop Linux, it's useless for any practical purposes (and if it's useful now and then, use colinux)
3. In your nice Windows(TM) machine, use SafeBoot; it's a $20 quite decent and flawless full disk encryption
4. If you want to have virtual encypted disks, there's a myriad of options, one of them is DriveCrypt.
5. Piss off.
NetBeans has always just seemed overall more comfortable to me
I'm pretty sure your brain is quite slow to not complain about the 1-2 seconds delay between clicking on *any* menu option and finally seeing it. Or the *minutes* it sometimes takes to redaw the left pane tree.
How can someone say that SWT is "worse" than Swing in any way? Wasn't the ultimate goal of GUIs to provide users a better experience? How could the pathetic Swing crap create such a big amount of pundits follwing it? I wonder if these developers are focusing on the API (which is mostly clean in Swing, I agree) as opposed to the the actual user interface. Talking about SWT, it's fast and lightweight, and it made people think that java makes sense for desktop applications (which is the exact opposite of what Swing has achieved).
What does these people have on their heads? Implementing.NET apis is a *very bad idea*, and I don't need to explain why - it's obvious that MS will screw with anyone trying to do that. Why can't they go with Java? Because Swing sucks? I guess I understand nothing of this business.
While standing in the front of your venture capitalist, turn 180 degrees so that he can see your back. So, put your pants (and underpants down) and try to touch your feet with the tips of your fingers. You can slightly open your legs to make it easy for your to touch your feet. Now wait for your new "venture" to start and enjoy. Good luck.
The "ok" gesture that is obscene there is the 90-degrees rotated one, not the "regular" one (the 3 "free" fingers should be in the horizontal, not in the vertical). BTW, assume I'm doing it for you right now.
Some others created hardcore spam, and got rich (but not famous). Al Gore invented the Internet, and got famous (but not rich). Yes, my friends, this business is complex.
Microsoft is *the* company to maximize the user experience. It's hard to believe they won't crush Google and the competition as they did with Netscape , and the way they're handling the game console market. Look at MSN, for instance, it's a wonderfully designed website, Google can't match it. And Microsoft has Hotmail and Passport to attract users, something that Google doesn't have too. The upshot: Microsoft will win again. Good for us users!
Trusted computing is one of the best ideas I've heard in the last 10 years. It allows companies to decide which software you can run, thus avoiding you to run viruses, trojans or other software these companies don't trust. It will stop people from copying software too, like the brilliant DVD protection scheme, so creating more jobs in the computer industry. It's such a powerful concept, I can't wait until it gets delivered into my computer.
And I like it! It's really handy to have my MSN messenger authenticate with Passport. Hotmail uses the same password, this is fantastic! Passport eliminates several hours of wasted time per year for each user by avoiding authenticating in these 2 services. No one else provides this level of integration. Linux and Open Source think that features for the end-user are evil, to the point they criticize the outstanding Passport. That that's why they're lagging behind Microsoft. I wonder if the Linux pundits will steal the Passport code as they did with SCO.
I've mistankely swapped the +5V and +12V inputs in a HD and it exploded big time.. The whole circuit board got into fire.
Man, the world is doomed when people(1) write things like that one..
(1) using 'people' instead of 'idiots' to avoid the mod-down thing I'm so afraid of

I'm confused. It seems Mr. Taran Rampepersad is doing FUD against Microsoft. Maybe I forgot that if it's against Microsoft, it's ok.

Less than my 15-years-old 386 machine?
It was sent into space to replace an aging GPS satellite
