If it weren't for this article I wouldn't have even noticed that i was using "gmail 2.0" are you sure it isn't more like going from gmail.5 to.6? it's still in beta....
Geez...get any 10 lawyers together, one will be a real decent person, the other nine will be total asshats.
Are you sure you can find one decent lawyer when you only have 10 total? I think you need a much larger collection of lawyers before you'll accomplish that...
While I'm not defending this kind of crap, it's pretty easy to like a lawyer who is on your side. I was just part of a successful class-action lawsuit against my employer for a number of really really stupid practices including rounding hours and restricting breaks. And it's hard for me to hate our lawyer.
when i clicked on a link in google for a rational response squad video i got "This video has been removed due to terms of use violation." however, one of the videos it suggested i view instead was a woman smiling while being ejaculated on.
How often do you look at the sky and how often do you look in front of you. Would you rather have a nice view of the stars or would you like to see where you're going?
I used to live in Flagstaff, AZ. home of Lowell Observatory; in Flagstaff we had an ordinance against excessive light pollution, and at night the city was almost completely dark, it was really great to ride my bike through downtown with the minimal light. I don't know how practical this is in some situation as well lit areas are generally seen as safer, but i really miss it sometimes.
I wake up every morning at 5:15am and am waiting at a bus stop at 6:00am five days a week, unless I come in early, which is about 5:00. I lack even the smallest amount of sympathy, fuck 'em if they can't get up early. for hundreds of dollars and hour.
I would think at around 1/2 of it is legal. About 1/2 or more of the music is probably legal. I would guess about 10% video is legal. And probably the vast majority of the software is legal. But does it matter? I think not.
Where on earth do you get this number from!? this is completely made up. and it only has to be 1/10 of 1% for it to be wrong of them to do this.
Actually yes it is. I have a library of well over 100 games all legaly purchased out of which less than 20% still run on my current hardware mostly becuase of silly DRMs. Yes now I download and I have downloaded games I have purchased that run on currnet systems when my "legal" copy does not.
Good for you. Since that's the reason that you do it, and your ethics keep you from ever downloading something that you didn't purchase first that must be how everyone does it, and no one downloads a game as an alternative to paying.
You know that yellowpages.com exists right? How is a search there any slower than a search on google? In fact, if I just want the phone number, yellowpages.com is a bit easier to navigate, due to it mainly being a phone directory.
yellowpages.com sucks and it's not an application on my cell phone that shows me a map, gives me a phone number, and tells me how to get there.
I've been downloading all of my music without paying a penny for about six years now. I don't think I'm alone, because i'm not getting this music from nowhere, there's a reason that so much of it is available.
There is "piracy" going on. it's really happening, lets not pretend otherwise.
I do have it. at the top of the page I have a link for the "old version"

I have AT&T and I use about 50MB a month with my treo (which I'm using right now on a bus downtown) my bill is about 6 sheets of double sided paper.
those horrid yellow street lights use far less engergy and cause less light pollution in comparison to standard lights.

and that would be terrible how?

It's gone now, Allowing your users to say what they want is overrated anyway.
I think we'd see it coming. I don't think I'd just wake up one morning to a completely empty kitchen with completely empty stores.
the site it's on doesn't think my phone can handle html.

My favorite part of this discussion is how pthor1231 made me his foe over this. like this really bothered him in someway.

Without a service pack it just doesn't feel like windows.
The car will not allow the sanitizer to evaporate.
You're comparing taking advantage of a faulty slot machine in a CASINO to stealing from a charity!
Are you fucking INSANE!?
Good post, however, i'm wondering where I can find some of these $1 drinks.
