    Why can't we create cell-phone free areas on trains, theaters, and other places.
    Japan (well, Tokyo at least) already has, I was shocked to get on a train there and not see a single person talking on the phone. I'd been expecting every second person there to be jibbering on the phone, I really hope other countries follow their lead

    at least in australia, you can LEAVE/walk out, and they still have to legally pay you for unused sick days, leave time etc... And it has no bearing on govt benefits at all
    BUUZZZZT!!!! wrong! if you LEAVE your job willingly your are ineligable for centrelink support for 3 months from the time you quit. you still have to get fired/made redundant if you want to recieve benefits from day one

    whether or not the service is free; it is still breaking the law.

    why is everyone so ignorant about the law. the americans constantly believe that their law is THE law. lots of people in the UK seem to do it too. their is no single set of laws that holds world-wide. By kicking up a fuss all this group can really do is make google not offer the service to the UK. yay for freedom!

    Arrrgh no way would i want hardware-accelerated crap everyware (except in games) XP runs so much better whens it's stripped back to a basic looking display and so will longhorn

    you seem to be confusing eye candy with hardware acceleration. having the gfx card (which would otherwise sit there on 1% load) handle rending the desktop gui will make your pc run faster by freeing up cpu cycles. it has little to do with making things look pretty (apart from the fact ms will probably waste those newly found cpu cycles on the aformentioned fancy-smanciness)

    the name apt-get means little more in english than it does in other languages. the package name that follows it, is just that, a name. the name should remain constant reguardless of language. i see no gain from "cutesy-ing" up apt-get with analogies of resturants

    ever try reading a technical document with formatting errors? while they might not matter to most, someone trying to read a complex formula where OO places the subscripted and superscripted text over other parts of the forumla and generally in the wrong places is going to care. that being stated i havent tried oo 1.1.0 in any depth yet, since i finished uni my use of office apps in general has greatly decreased (to my delight)
