    I mean, how can you identify yourself without speaking?
    Carry around a pad of paper and a pen or pencil. If an officer asks for your name, and you wish to exercise your right to remain silent, write your name down on a piece of paper.

    How many of you Slashdotters have used the backwards compatibility on PlayStation 2s?
    I'm one of them. After my PlayStation broke, I was very grateful for the backwards compatibility.

    Actually, this sounds much better:
    The official release of Mozilla 1.7 comes right on the heels of the releases of both Firefox 0.9 and Thunderbird 0.7.
    It's not passive voice, and it makes a bit more sense.
