    They and their brethern have been mocked, ridiculed, tossed out on their asses in court but it hasn't mattered. Their tiny, little minds are so god-soaked that it runs right off. They are lost causes. The only course of action is for the reality-based, scientifically literate people to continue to fight these battles in court.

    You can't fix stupid.

    These men, and others, were all employees of the CIA, NSA, or other intelligence agencies. All of them were subject to taking and passing one or more polygraph tests. They all ended up providing classified information to the Soviets for a relatively minimal amounts of money. The information they disclosed resulted in the compromise of highly useful, and costly, collection systems, data, and human assets, some of whom were killed as a result. In a number of these cases, Aldritch Ames, in particular, the agency they worked had suspicions that something was going on yet these men remained free to continue their spying. Ames was even tested again, passing the test to continue his work.

    The polygraph, in these instances, was worthless and, in fact, provided a false sense of security to the detriment of the country's well-being.

And if and when it does, I won't panic. I'll switch to the Guide app, with its large friendly letters and it will tell me everything that I need to do.

    I think we here in the US have had that experience not too long ago. Not to be overly grim here, but the week after 9/11, there were no planes flying in the skies above the US. Not hearing the planes landing and taking off at a near-by major airport nor seeing them high in the sky flying into other airports in the region was pretty odd.

    People who do that sort of thing are most likely people who don't know enough to keep their computer patched and are far more susceptible to viruses and other bad stuff. I propose that a record be kept for every time a user does something like that and a tax be imposed based on number of occurrences.
