I don't know where you people are shopping, but if you look in the bottom of the barrel bins at Wal-mart, you can find most of these movies at 2 for $11. I say, go there and find a ton of these to make a quick two bucks a pop + labor.
I seem to recall one other theory of black holes "leaking." Empty space is awash with particles and antiparticles flying around appearing and annihilating each other almost instantaneously. It's just that when this happens near the horizon of a black hole, one of the particle/anti-particle pair gets "sucked up" into the black hole while the other one is able to escape as what appears to be radiation.
I must say that I am slightly annoyed by this. My company has been developing WiFi based high speed solutions (for rural areas) with equipment that you can add WiMax modules to when they come along. We could have received a much cheaper solution if we had focused mainly on WiFi solutions without worrying about integration. I know all about the long run, but we need to build revenue with what we have now just to get the equipment.
Stan Lee is seemingly one of the nicest guys in the comic industry all around. Not to mention he's put so much into what he has done, with obvious enjoyment in his work. It doesn't seem to have gotten tedious for him, as you can see in all the interviews he does for the special edition DVDs of the many Marvel movies. I'm glad he will get proper compensation for all of his efforts. Check out his interviews on the Spidey DVDs and also the Comic Book Heros Unmasked
When you realize that the outsourced company thought you wanted Finnish customizations on your script. That would be a good time to ask for your money back.
Don't politicians in the US and elsewhere have some kind of council or committee that can educate them on technology issues? I mean one that isn't run by the big business lobby. Our representative in Washington have the House Science Committee. Our friends over the Atlantic have a Science and Tech committee, etc. How are they ever going to learn about what they are ruling over?
I don't know how it is anywhere else, but here, local drivetime radio personalities have been fielding questions about Social Security reform. People have been calling in and talking about a "brother's neighbors's cousin's boss" that opted out of Social Security in order to take that money and put it into their own retirement planning. Has anyone else heard of such things or know if it is possible? From the things I have read, it is not possible to get out of paying your Social Security out of your regular paychecks. But I'm sure someone here has the ability to enlighten me or strengthen this position.
There are so many ISPs right now that are just a step or two away from doing this. The company I work for has been promoting the use of Vonage with our high speed wireless to get away from using a land land with the phone company. And since Vonage came up with a WiFi phone our customers would be able to use it anywhere there is one of our hotspots.
Most of the information that I have seen on VoIP has pointed to the fact that this could happen soon. Our customers have been yelling about this for months now.
Anyone else think that those blue LEDs emit the harshest light yet? Everytime I work on a computer with those things, it pains my eyes. Try going to sleep in a room when your roommate leaves his brand new computer on overnight. I think that guy should pay me.
I'm originally from Omaha, and knowing what people are like there, this doesn't surprise me. Many Omahans would sell their soul for a pair of pants or a cookie. Don't be surprised if you see more auctions like this from people in Nebraska.
No joke! I worked technical jobs all the years I was in college except for my final summer before graduating. I ended up living with a friend for $200 / month and working at Kansas City Royals baseball games (all the hot dogs you can eat) and basically just goofed off the entire time. It was the most fun summer I have had since gradeschool.
This will be a wonderful alternative for many people. Right now, the company I work for is setting up various hotspots on the selling point that you could bring in Vonage, and this will be one more great selling point. It's amazing how many people despise phone companies.
Retailers are not supposed to sell them to people under 17 but have been blamed for lax enforcement.
So make them enforce what's already there. Why waste the people's money creating more confusion. Is there the same kind of law in the books for purchasing or buying a ticket to a movie? I wouldn't complain if a current law were extended to include video games and other media purchased from a store.
Would this possibly mean layoffs? I have a relative who works for Symantec securing large server environments. Do the backup people have security people working for them? Does Symantec have a department that focuses on backups?
I heard once that if you found a tracking device on your vehicle installed by the police, you cannot remove it since it was installed because of a warrant. I'm sure spyware installed because of warrant would fall under the same type of law. This, of course, is in the United States, and not the land down under.
P.P.S: It sounds like you've never been inside a US elementary school. I didn't get to use calculators until high school as well. And then, some of our teachers had scientific calculators that they handed out just before tests. Most of the time, having any kind of calculator wouldn't even help you on an exam if you couldn't understand the scope of the problem.
The problem isn't the calculators as much as it is gaining an understanding of the problems you're working on.
And it wasn't until I got to geometry (when we started learning theorems) that my enjoyment of mathematics ended.

What is this "shredding of mail" that everyone speaks of. I don't want to shred my Outlook Express! Besides, my LCD won't fit in a trash can.

We can only hope for more high-quality games like Outlaw Golf 2!
Favorite Quote in Outloaw Golf 2 Promo:
The shameless bunch from the Outlaw series returns to the repressed world of golf with their outrageously twisted antics.
I love twisted antics!

Well, now that the gaming industry has caught these two guys, their billions in lost revenue will be made up in no time!
