Is it just me or does the math not work? They spent £24.5 million and will save taxpayers £22 million over 10 years. So why didn't they just not spend the excess £2.5 million?

I don't know, but one of the things I'd like to see improved in WoW is the "everyone has the same body type" thing, maybe sliders for how thin/muscular/fat/tall/short you want someone (with limits, of course, so that humans are always taller than dwarves, for example).
Can you tell us more about what options are customizable on your character when you create it?
We don't want to overwhelm players with too many choices when they start off. That's why we are concentrating on features that players will notice right away. This includes things like hair style, hair color, skin color, and facial features. Players can of course also get to select their race, gender, and class. The remaining elements of character customization will be done in-game, through the choices they make in the gear they wear and the many talents they can learn.
Can players customize the height & weight of their characters?
Height and weight is not changeable due to how it affects character animations and items on the character. We wanted to concentrate on making each race's animations distinct and special, which meant working on unique models and not allowing changing of height and weight. If we allowed that, then the result would be wonky-looking or distorted movement when the animations were applied to an inappropriately sized model.
Ah, don't forget all of those MMORPGs. You don't even get those for free. You pay an up-front cost for the software, and then a maintenance fee every month, plus, as new features are added to the game, you get to buy upgrades.
You can't play WoW or EQ or most other MMORPGs off-line, so refusing to pay the monthly fee nets you... a useless piece of software, good only as a coaster. Sounds like somebody is raking in the money...

Well, the anti-gun nuts say that the gun manufacturers are to blame when someone uses a firearm incorrectly. Some gal in Florida is suing Bacardi because their 151 rum is "highly explosive" - if another customer lights a menu and sticks it in the stream of alcohol. To heck with suing the customer who caused the problem...

These things are usually procedural and therefore do not apply to the software.
If you really want to get some use out of your capslock key, remap it. In *nix you change your Xmodmap. In Windows there are several apps you can download to change it. Try this link for some info.
After watching the **AA's sue everybody and their dog for downloading based solely upon the ISP's IP address records, I have no desire to let unknown persons use my wireless net. The last thing I need is to be sued for downloading Britney Spears songs. I'd be laughed out of the bar!
Agreed. Some of the best games are from the early '90s and are still played because of their quality gameplay, not their fancy-schmancy graphics. I still break out the original Sid Meier's Pirates! because of the great playability. Same with the original MOO.
Sequels rarely exceed the quality of the original, generally just becoming a re-hash with better graphics. A few exceptions in this regard: the new Pirates!, Half-Life2, Battlefield 2.
I know, your list contains more items, so sue me. Or post your additions. I don't care.

I've wasted several bottles in the past year. My son wants us to to pop Mentos and Coke if we're unable to pop firecrackers for the 4th of July this year...
I've been using Avast for the past couple of years and will soon be switching to another (probably paid) solution. Last week Avast found a virus that wasn't a virus. I used Panda's free online scan and 14 virii that Avast had missed. Not what I call a good record.
Of course that means that anytime the text "rm -rf $HOME" appears in a document if you are stupid enough to select and middle click it bad things will happen. Of course the target audience knows better.
Great. This is just what we need. Now all of those [insert name of stupid ethnic group here] text viruses that ask you to delete all of your files and then forward the email will just need you to middle click...

Artificial shortages are nothing new in the console market. Microsoft did the same thing with the 360 release. See this post on here.
