That's funny that at least 2 people here do the same thing because I do that as well. Showing them flat screen TVs with pictures magically appearing etc. would all be pretty fun.
I don't know if you've noticed but Flash tends to crash Safari all the time. If it can now only crash a single tab instead of the whole browser due to separate processes for each tab then that would be great. I hope Apple follows suit with Safari.
But the most southern part of Canada is south of America's arm pit, Detroit. There are a lot of areas of the USA more north than South Western Ontario and get just as cold.
I'm sick of seeing the signs on the gas pump "MAY contain UP TO 10% ethanol". Well does it or does it not and how much ethanol? 5%, 1%, 10%, 0%? Who the hell knows? If they told us exactly what was in the gas we can avoid the ethanol containing gas if our car doesn't like it. At least there are still some gas stations that don't have any sign so I assume they must be 0% ethanol.
If you use any type of analytics software in your iPhone application you can see exactly when and where Apple is testing your app from. Mine is tested from Sunnyvale California on an iPod touch and iPhone.
I've never heard of Apple using something like bspatch. The combo update is so big because it will work on machines with 10.5.0 installed. It contains everything that has changed from that version to 10.5.7. The incremental updates take you from 10.5.6 to 10.5.7 which is why they are smaller. If you look at the packages it's actually whole applications that are replaced not diffs to the binaries. Also all updates now contain universal binaries meaning they have x86 and PPC code in one binary file.
Also they brought in cats to try and kill off the rodents brought on various ships to Australia. Now they still have rodents and in addition, ferrel cats roaming around causing havoc.
Your mom will upgrade when new software requires Snow Leopard. Mac developers are pretty quick to adopt new APIs since they are usually making things really easy to do compared to the previous OS(such as Core Animation, Core Audio/Video etc.)
When you drive to the USA from Canada you don't go through Canadian Customs. You go through USA Customs so if they're letting illegal stuff in then it's their fault.
In San Francisco, whenever there's a large gathering of tech people, the 3G network goes to shit. It's still running pretty close to capacity in that area.
Where I work, we're rolling out this POS bug tracking system called HP Quality Center(HPQC) that installs about 20 ActiveX controls. It ONLY works in IE 6 or 7, not 8. It will work in the Firefox IE tab but that most likely relies on whatever IE you already have installed. I think it might be pretty funny in the next few weeks if this gets auto installed on a bunch of machines and breaks this crappy software.
The Monkey Man has spoken! You may have to duck for flying chairs.

Apple makes Chrome now do they?

Holy shit. And it's June 3 2009 today (06/03). 6 + 3 = 9 and 2 + 0 + 0 + 9 = 11 !!!!!!!

Maybe where you are. The iPhone works just fine and in fact I can get >1Mbit on the speed test using Rogers in Ontario.
bought a Mac! :p
It's run by a couple of deuchbags in their basement, so I can see 250K USD taking them down easily.

A little sensitive are you? Sorry but these people are oblivious to the fact that the so called diet soda isn't going to help them not be fat.
I always have to laugh inside when I see an enormous person drinking a "diet" soda with their quarter pounder meal.

"Then she makes out with Sigourney Weaver and an alien crack baby is born."
Fixed it for you.
Nah, he just evolved into a higher lifeform
Leopard has partial ASLR but full support is coming in Snow Leopard.

How did you know!!!???
Most likely. You can buy scanners legally and listen to almost everything except cellular frequencies.
