    No, they can detect novel images. The known images are just to calibrate the device.

    Evolution often has a desired outcome, that's why convergent evolution sometimes occurs. Some evolutionary solutions have sufficient pull that evolution is directed towards them. Take camera eyes for example. Evolution has produced then independantly many times.

    For example, a point of sale system in a military base's dining facility could be tapped to give a count of meals served per day. If an adversary sees a sudden drop or increase, they know that SOMETHING is going on.

    Yeah, cuz that's so much easier than noticing 5,000 troops marching off base.

    People go wierd when they are being scammed. They get really defensive if you point it out. Twice I've pointed out scams to people, and both times they were highly resistant to the information.

    What YOU are talking about is Theistic Evolution, which is even supported by ACTUAL renouned scientsit Francis Collins and does not attack any of the science of evolution.

    Theistic evolution does attack the science of evolution because most forms of theistic evolution dismiss natural selection.

    Yes it did vibrate due to the wind, but that isn't to say it was resonance.

    The destruction frequency was not one of the bridges harmonic frequencies, nor was it the excitation frequency of the wind.

    Also note that the bridge vibrated strongly across all wind velocities/frequencies, not just one or two special frequencies.

    The phenomena that occurred was flutter, not resonance.

    It is a myth that harmonic resonance destroyed the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. A different phenomena was at work.
