    That's what I do most of the time. Also, depending on if you do "shift v" or "ctrl v", you can go to Line mode or Block mode respectively. (ctrl q instead of ctrl v in case of gvim for windows)

    I just hope nobody is following your advise. Though I believe stock market is one form of gamble (at least for short players who make the majority), in general, over last century (or so), the average ROI is 7%. So, long term investment does make sense.

    I think they are not looking for much, except for:
    10 years of Guru level Java expert experience with AJAX, Java Beans, Hibernate, Spring, SCJP
    With Minimum 10 years of Oracle 10g (yes) experience with DBA skills to match the development skills working on Oracle RAC, Data warehousing and ETL
    with great Linux/Unix skills with 15 years of socket programming, general admin knowledge, backup expertise with strong emphasis on korn, bash and C shell scripting
    at least 8 years of Perl, Python and 5 (yes) years of Ruby on Rails

    Yes, this is a made up requirement, but not too far from what I have seen in last 4 months on job boards when I was looking for a decent mid level development job.

    If quicktime is the 'only' decent software for windows from Apple, I would be horrified to use anything from Apple at all.

    Quicktime is the worst piece of software I have ever used on windows - even RP and Creative shits were okay compared to this nightmare from Apple, because I had the option to remove them from startup and other places. Quicktime installs itself, refuses to be removed, and you will suddenly find 'new' shiny programs from Apple installed overnight!!!

    And that's why I make sure the people passing by do not have access to my water, gas or electricity. I do not put the outlets outside my house and advertise "Come and take as much as you want.".

    For any other utility (water, gas, electricity), we pay by the usage. Why not this? Everybody should be accountable for whatever they are using and pay as much. At the moment, low bandwidth users are paying for higher users.

    And once pay-as-you-use is in place, it may also force a lot of websites to revert to basic, nice and simple html pages without the bloat (Flash and such) we see today.

    The thing is its very ambiguous how much gigabytes you're using.

    How? I think everybody can measure what comes in and goes out from your terminal on the network. There are a lot of tools available measuring this perfectly fine. Even without any special tool, the vanilla windows xp network connection status lets you know that for a given session on the network.
