I think you prove the parent posters' point exactly; Why are kids today more sexual active and experimental? Because there is less of a taboo around sex for one (just zap through some channels on your tv for a minute) and young people, having watched porn, generally consider it as how sex should be and take it as a standard.
What about moving virtualized datacenters?
Remote backups? (or even mirrored farms)
Imagine providing a SLA with insanely short outage-period, it would be very welcomed instead of seeing your Terrabytes slowly copy over.
Or ISPs being able to push more bandwidth through a pipe, which makes it possible to put more customers on a single pipe.
Why is this a troll? I always feel the same way when Americans are being dramatic when the rest of the world pays at least twice as much "a gallon".
In Belgium it is atm 1.3EUR/liter,
which is (3.7 * 1.3) 4,81EUR/gallon
which in turn is (4,81 * 1.3) 6,25USD/gallon.
you'd have to ask everyone to step out of the car, break out the seats, unscrew the door at the drivers' side and open all your other windows so you can pump gas because your tires were guestimated to a traction experience rating of 2.7 and the gaspump requires an overal experience rating of 3.0. When your gastank opening has a pump experience rate of 5.2...
In Belgium we pay 1.4/liter. That's 1.8$/liter or 6,8$/gallon...
I recall Americans crying murder and rape because of "insane gas prices"...

The guy is supposedly alknowing, so why do you have to bug him with a rocket filled with letters? He already knew what you were going to write before you wrote the letter, even before you were born. Didn't you read the part you must have blind faith? If he isn't replying, he's tired of your nagging and is trying to ignore you. Leave him alone.
For that alone, it's justified to be sent to hell for spamming god with egocentric and useless requests.
You hold your camera against a surface, draw two lines to indicate its length.
Take the picture with those two lines in view, look up the dimensions of that particular camera to use a reference measurement.
I was filling out the form as well, until I saw I couldn't select my country. Not only the US and Canada are using SUN. And if you're going to compare with Ubuntu in the summary; I've got Ubuntu CD's shipped to Belgium and MS beta's for that matter out of charge.
You say it amuses you that Americans like to keep the imperial system but then go on to show that the one system is linked to the other
Um. Imerial measurements are more like "hm. This is the size of a thumb. And that's the size of my foot." which is actually quite variable. The metric system is created with the idea to use a base that isn't variable. (as the speed of light.)
Ofcourse, now you have agreements of how long one or the other is making it an common system (my foot is larger then yours. Whose measurements are we going to take?) but the irony remains that it's based on the metric system to define it.
So what do you think they'll tell _you_ what's under all that ice?

My cat doesn't type, its grammar is too outstanding for web 2.0.
All these skintight spacesuits on attractive women in science fiction movies are finally reality!

That, and earth is a sphere in the center of the universe, as Plato proved.
They'll just run away in fear like the commies did :P

American freedom that needs to be shared with the world :)
It already exists. And is open: the greenphone.

Same in Belgium.
Last week it actually froze, but that didn't last for too long.
Right now it's between 7C and 12C.
