    you could regulate it so only the really filthy shit has to move...nudity is okay, but if anyone starts having sex, over to .xxx. That way these sites can still exist and serve their function.

    and easier to block. All current porn sites (and there are a lot) should be grandfathered into the old domains, but NEW sites use XXX. if the market is unstable enough, it should force a natural transition over several years.

    No, the government wouldn't censor the internet for the very reason that it is a "pull" media. Every bit you get over the internet line is requested by you.

    Radio and broadcast TV, on the other hand, are "push" media, in that data is sent to you without request. This is why it is censored.

    BTW, i am VERY opposed to the FCC's post-janet-jackson's-boob witch hunt...

    Easy, define the rating as a floating point number on the disc. Then in hardware if rating>whatever, don't run the game. for the rating system you define:

    E=1, T=2, M=3
    becomes
    E=1, E10+=1.5, T=2, M=3

    You could also implement new ratings systems in firmware.

    Actually a company called Element Computer used to sell a tablet for $999 that ran Lycoris. It sucked. I bought mine when it ran Xandros. still sucked. Threw ubuntu on the thing and messed with it till it worked (except wireless...dammit). Still sucks (a little less, but still). I Wish i bought an ibook.

    Unless you do your homework, a linux phone will look like any other phone. Linux runs on the back end, and the interface hides it well.

    Agreed. In my third year at PSU, i find it hard to stay in and code an assignment when there's kegs to be had!
