No doubt. I see this as yet another side project that will further delay the books. I haven't even read the last one yet, even though I bought it the first week it was out.
Buy a VW then. If Ford won't sell the car you want don't buy a Ford. I currently have a 06 VW Golf TDI and it averages 43mpg which is just about EPA estimate. Thanks to the low end torque of the diesel it out accelerates most 4 bangers. Of course I have it up for sale because the 304HP 2010 Camaro was just too tempting.
This is a perfect example of why Obama is going to be a 1 term President. The expectations for him are so great he is going to disappoint everyone in some way.
I hope Obama is a faithful to the wording of the rest of the Constitution as he is to that one section. It would be nice to have a Democrat who believes in following the law rather than claiming that a "living breathing constitution" gives him an excuse to do whatever seems convenient at the time.
Sadly Obama has a history of ignoring things he doesn't like in the Constitution. He will ignore or interpret parts of the Constitution wrongly just like every other President has for a long time. While I have hope that he will not stretch and break parts of the Constitution as badly as Bush did, he will to some extent.
Don't believe me, just look at his voting record and stance on the 2nd Amendment. He does not understand "Shall not be infringed".
If McCain manages to win it will be a much needed wake-up call for the media. This election it hasn't been the corporations in general who are running the election, it is the media. Obama can do no wrong.
The only way I could agree to eliminating the EC is if some form of ranked voting was put in place. This way I could vote for the candidate I really want and put the bad choice like Obama last with McCain 2nd to last.
Wow, I'm not sure which election you are talking about. The Democratic party and Obama in particular have mastered the art of vagueness this election. Everything is Bush's fault according to Obama. Just watch the ad where Bush is in the side mirrors and rear view mirrors.
Already Obama is lowering where he will raise taxes, not quite to the $100,000 I've been saying he is going to hit, but getting close.
Senators McCain and Obama by your actions in the last year to two years you have demonstrated that campaigning for President of the United States is a full time job. So what is your justification for not resigning your Senate position and allowing another person from your State to devote their full attention to the duties of a Senator?

When asked during a televised debate in 2006 about evolution and creationism, Palin said, according to the Anchorage Daily News: "Teach both. You know, don't be afraid of information. Healthy debate is so important, and it's so valuable in our schools. I am a proponent of teaching both."
The key here is healthy debate. While I think creationism is not even worth being called science, what is worse is the knee jerk reaction to not teach it. The US education system needs to teach critical thinking and you can not teach critical thinking by ignoring or banning things you disagree with.
Another action that is a very big plus for the next Vice President of the U.S. is directly from the article you linked.
But after Alaska voters elected her, Palin, now Republican John McCain's presidential running mate, kept her campaign pledge to not push the idea in the schools.
This is perhaps the best part of the article. She made a pledge and has kept. Unlike so many other politicians who make campaign pledges such as Obama's choice to not accept Federal matching funds and the limits that come with them or McCain's pledge to not fly on corporate jets.
So she has been honest with her opinion and at the same time kept her word.
Pretty easy to justify picking an old school Democrat for VP in this case. Obama through many of his choices and the GOP questioning of his experience had a choice to either balance his ticket or go all out change. No matter what he chose he was going to have problems with one group of his supporters or another.
Now he can say that while he lacks national level leadership experience he has a close source of advice that is hard to beat. I think that this choice is going to turn out more neutral then anything in a few weeks after the initial announcement wears off.
I live at XXX XXXXXXX, please feel free to use my front or back yard as a location for one of your utility boxes, since it would mean I could finally get good high speed service.
Where I live I have a choice between Qworst and Comcrap, so I'd gladly take a fridge sized box in order to get something like FOIS.
The attack ads that come out of this are going to be great.
"Democrats are so afraid to talk about solving our country's energy needs that they turned out the lights and cameras on the debate." I'm sure that will be the mildest attack too.
I really hope the Democrats keep making mistakes since this upcoming election is theirs to lose.
The only problem is the Interstate Commerce clause has been abused way too much by the Federal government. These days if an activity gets within 5,000 miles of a state border the Fed has no problem invoking the interstate clause. Yes I know that 5,000 miles is more then any state which is my point. Way too much has fallen under this, between the interstate clause and the use of denying federal funding for projects the fed has choked the life out of State's rights.
While the extremists love to scream how biased the media is towards the Left it just isn't totally true. Most of the TV news networks are central with a slight lean to the Left with Fox and CNN seeing how far to the Right and Left they can lean respectively.
Now on the other hand radio is heavily biased towards the Right and you don't see much argument there. With the Internet it seems like the extremists on both sides are very much out there and screaming nonsense about how bad the opposite side is.
You turn a 747 upside down in a barrel roll. During testing of the 707 "Tex" Johnston did a roll and the 747 was built stronger then the 707. The key is keeping the G's as close to 1 as possible, so it is a very slow roll.
This elitists attitude is exactly why Obama is gong to lose this fall. Your position is that if people don't agree with you then they are stupid is insulting.
Don't delude yourself, both parties have been anti-freedom for quite some time. In the case of the current Neo-Con administration you disagree with the attacks they have made on the Constitution and Bill of Rights, but the Democratic party is just as anti-freedom and in particular Obama has no respect for the 2nd Amendment. Both parties have become too focused on obtaining power and not governing a once great nation.
While Obama is likely to restore some of the worst abuses of the Bush administration you can bet on him not removing all the attacks and he will attack what he doesn't believe in.
I've often wondered about the water supply in California and Illinois myself, but that has absolutely nothing to do with this topic.
I figure 29% of IT workers have noticed that McCain is closer to a Republican then Bush. Bush has given Republicans a bad name and has not upheld most of the platform, instead he has been the worst possible example of a neo-con.
Personally I'd love to see McCain elected instead of either Hillary or Obama. Some of that has to do with getting a moderate into office. Obama and Hillary would be a great example of balancing out the pain of the Bush years by bringing in the Sith.
All I hear from the Obama campaign is "change" and more "change" yet I don't see a solid plan. Then based off of his record it is obvious his idea to start change is to destroy the 2nd Amendment.
So how about some solid plans of what he intends to do instead of being the first black man to have a chance of being elected?
I'll give you the wiki link to Fermi's Paradox http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fermi_paradox because it is obvious you don't understand it. Fermi's Paradox isn't used in any way, shape or form to prove that aliens don't exist. At its most basic it simply asks why if there are so many stars that could support life, we haven't found any evidence? One proposed solution is that life is developing too far apart in either time or space. Therefore each alien race will be alone for as far as it can tell.
Personally I'm more inclined to think that all it takes is one civilization to decide that alien life is a threat to it and attempts to wipe out each developing alien civilization. So it is likely that even if another civilization survives and manages to wipe out the first aggressor, they will become another aggressor since they have just seen how dangerous another alien race is.
I found the most interesting thing about Fallout 3 is the CTD's it gives. Amazing game to play on the PC.
No doubt. I see this as yet another side project that will further delay the books. I haven't even read the last one yet, even though I bought it the first week it was out.

Don't try to argue logic with rabid anti-bushies, you would be better off beating your head in with a hammer.
If it was any state except CA I'd agree that it won't pass.
