Did somebody say weeaboo? 'Cause I think I heard somebody say weeaboo.
There's plenty of high quality entertainment coming from America - a lot of it is crap, but a lot of anime is crap too. Games are the same way - Japanese games are not pefect or better as a whole by any stretch, especially not simply due to their country of origin.
Very true - personally, the Riddler is one of my favorite villains so it would annoy me to have such a change, but he also had his name changed legally to Nygma, I beleive. Either way, it's just something I noticed that may or may not be reading into it too much.
Remember Reese, the guy that the Joker wanted dead? Why did he get so much screen time? Think of his name, Mr. Reese, and say it aloud. I think there is a very good chance we are getting the Riddler as our next villian.
Whitehouse.com hasn't been a porn site for a long time. They actually changed it because of all the people going there on accident and complaining, IIRC.
From my own expereince, every single person that brings a laptop to programming lectures is either talking on AIM, surfing Facebook, or playing a game. This really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone - the internet is more fun than doing work or paying attention.

And because they're illegal, its REALLY HARD to get drugs.
Except it's totally not. I live in rural Nebraska, and I assure you that even here you can't throw a rock without hitting a druggie.
I found one of these suckers in my parents' basement earlier this year. My dad said he couldn't really remember where it came from, but I could play with it. Haven't cracked it open to see why it won't work yet. I also aquired a strange terminal-like machine called an Exeltel II from the basement of death, yet I can't seem to find anything out about it. It still works, though.
I'd be willing to bet that the U.S. military has already been doing human cloning research for quite some time now. As far as ethical standards go, there's always going to be people who bitch and complain about almost every aspect, like the old lady across the street that thinks TV is evil.
Not to mention this has been online for several years already. This dosen't change the fact that it's very useful and cool...just makes it very old news.

Hooray blatant for karma whoring!
I can't possibly be the only one who got a kick out of that. Hopefully it measures to the Rio DJ in the Rio Karma. Dosen't look like a half-bad little player, though. The dual-headphone jack is genius and should be a standard.
I got a Karma as a gift last Christmas, and it's a beast, let me tell you. The interface is lovely, much more intuitive than my experience with the iPod. The Rio DJ functionality is excellent, allowing me to listen to random mixes of music by year (as provided by the ID tags), length of time on player, most listened to music, or music that hasn't been listened to for a while. Creating playlists on the fly is also a nice addition, as has been mentioned before. The phyiscal interface is decent. It lacks the reassuring metal feeling of the iPod, but it's definatly a hardy little player. The stick is intuitive, though it feels cheap and isn't as good as the wheel on the iPod Mini; however, the jogwheel is an awesome, useful little tool. Some users have reported it sinking into the unit, though I haven't had this problem myself. The software for Windows is decent and is a nice way to manage your mp3 collection, with batch renaming of ID tags, built-in rippers for all the music supports (FLAC, mp3, Ogg Vorbis, and WAV), and a smooth interface. The Java interface is surprisingly good for being Java and works well on my Debian box. However, it does have its drawbacks, the tendancy to freeze being a major one. A few months ago it up and stopped running on my Windows XP box with USB, a problem I never could figure out. It'd always freeze when it connected or flat-up not connect. My volume up button has also started to sink in and just barely work, but this is probably due to my own stupidity (I dropped the unit at band districts...ouch). However, upon dropping, it didn't even skip. All that happened was the case opening a bit where it contacted the ground (near said button). Overall, this is definatly a good little player that I'd definatly reccomend to anyone interested.
I have an Athelon 64 keyring. A friend of mine was doing something to his box, and somehow he managed to royally screw it up, and the socket on the motherboard broke in two and a few pins on the chip were busted out and a bunch bent. Since it was pretty worthless by that point, I took off the pins, drilled a hole, and there we go. Needless to say, when I show the right people they come close to mauling me before I explain the circumstance (at which point they want to maul the guy I got it from).
Heh, you've mastered the "I will mention that I will get modded down, thus I will get modded up technique. Bravo! (Note to stupid mods: this is a joke)
Seriously though, how the hell does Hatch keep getting elected? He's proven he's a complete dumbshit more times than I can count, and not just on tech issues.
I haven't bought a RIAA-sanctioned CD in a long time - not that the artists I listen to (ska for the most part) are on them to begin with, but I steer clear of any bands that do sign on with them. Going to the shows and buying merch there is still the best way to support the artist directly. I do download music, and am aware it's illegal...problem is that I, along with most others, simply don't care that it's illegal. I support the artist (though I'm sure most of the leeches don't) by going to their shows.
You're aware that civilized people consider eugenics to be out of vogue, right?

Yeah - the first screengrab of the Secret Cow Level in Diablo II was released on April 1st as well.
If I buy an iPod video on April 1st, will a guy in a limo come and install everything for me?
Haha, the RIM job prank is my favorite Zug prank.
Is it just me, or was the threatening review pulled off the page? I saw it earlier today, but I can't find it anymore.

That was quite possibly the funniest thing I've heard all month. /me golf claps

Wow, and you can buy it for a whole quarter at Amazon. Not bad!
Something tells me that somewhere at this very moment, an intern is being fired.
