    They corrupted the judgment system and left psychological scars on 5000 people, and they did it for profit.

    They should be executed. If they are not executed by the system, then they should be executed by the people, lynch mob style.

    Nah, execution wouldn't be right. Neither would a mere 7 year in prison. They need to sum up the sentences of all the teens wronged, and let that be the judges' sentence. And not in a white-collar resort prison.

    In roulette, a "fixed" wheel would be spotted relatively quickly by the gamblers.

    I heard that some casinos teach the operators how to increase the odds of the ball stopping on 0/00.

    I'd say your empathy is too broken to be the same as 99% of the humans. You're different. When can we start experimenting on _you_ then?

    Unfortunately he's not as different as you might think, considering the number of humans who think it's perfectly fine to spy on, imprison without due process, torture, and kill other humans as long as they are foreign nationals.

    As for why it's useless, if your child is not ready to see "stuff", and they see "stuff", and then you press the panic button, they won't _unsee_ stuff. In fact, they would probably remember it for a very long time.

    That's why pressing the button will also send a charge of electricity through the electrodes implanted in the child's brain.

    You know, as much as I like the spirit of net neutrality, I've always found it suspicious that the same ./ers who tell the government to "keep out of my internets" are so supportive of giving the government more footholds in regulating the net.

    Cases were terminated against 86,680 defendants during 2005. Most (90%) defendants were convicted. Of the 78,042 defendants convicted, 74,226 (or 95%) pleaded guilty or no-contest.

    Hmm, so let's see if I got this right:

    Out of 12,454 defendants who did not plead guilty or no contest, 3,816 (31%) were convicted.

    True. But I doubt very many people go through a day without doing anything illegal, be it a DMCA violation, driving 3mph above the speed limit, or having premarital/extramarital/non-missionary-position sex (in some states.)
