  1. Browser usage trends? on Opera Facing Losses While Firefox Usage Grows · · Score: 1

Is there a good place on the Internet to view historical data of browser usage among web surfers? I'd like to see how Firefox is doing on a global scale since their 1.0 launch, and how it might impact Opera, IE, etc.

Ah... the Help America Vote peeps have just made things worse...

"Four years later, and none of the Florida problems were fixed. In fact, by all appearances, they spread from Florida to Ohio, New Mexico, Michigan and elsewhere. Worse, these problems only scratch the surface of what appears to have happened in Tuesday's election. The fix that was put in place to solve these problems - the Help America Vote Act passed in 2002 after the Florida debacle - appears to have gone a long way towards making things worse by orders of magnitude, for it was the Help America Vote Act which introduced paperless electronic touch-screen voting machines to millions of voters across the country."

Well, currently there are no rules in place that the URL has to correspond to whatever you decide to put on the website (www.freepuppies.com could be a site used to sell... oh, i don't know... law enforcement gear). Seems to me that VanHollen2004.com/net/org is vague enough that it COULD be an anti-VanHollen site, which anyone would have the right to build. The fact that users interpret the URL to be pro-VanHollen is irrelevant. dep

oh, get ready.. you're going to see lots more DVD-watching related accidents on the road.. I love how cars are integrating more and more things that take a driver's attention off the road... GPS screens, DVD players, fancier head units... between those, talking on a cell phone, text messaging, updating a palm pilot entry and whatever else, i'll bet on a typical day, a driver has 40% focus on the road. when will there be focus laws enforced? if a trooper catches you doing anything besides driving, you should get pulled. driving *correctly* and safely demands 100% of your attention and focus. people are idiots anyway.. and now we're asking them to do 1, 2, 3 things at a time.. when we're travelling in a giant speeding box, a moving weapon.. and it will only get worse.
