Hasn't every iPhone release been pre-announced as being a debacle that will herald a new beginning for Windows Phone? Like from the very first one? Sure, for a couple of years in there, Android phones were about to overrun the world, but then in the middle years, there were quite a few where the latest version of wince was about to really take off and crush everyone else.

    http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/jul/22/brexit-talks-uk-limbo-sequence-negotiations-eu

Technically, the terms of a future relationship agreement between the EU and the UK as a third country can only be negotiated once the UK has become that third country, and left the EU,” said Michel Petite, a former director general of legal services at the European commission.

According to A50, the UK/EU has up to 2 years to finalize negotiating the UK's exit from the EU, and only after the exit has been completed can the EU and UK begin to negotiate new trade deals.

It's not unworkable, it's one of the down sides of leaving. Just another thing the brexit side denied/avoided talking about/misled the public about.

Well, according to the "rules" of the EU, the EU is legally prevented from negotiating with the UK about when happens after the UK has separated from the EU until after the UK has left. Once the UK formally tells the EU they want to leave by invoking Article 50, the EU can only negotiate with the UK on how to separate the UK from the EU. And I believe that it also prevents the obvious workaround of the UK negotiating directly with individual countries within the EU as well.

It's something called "training". aircraft pilots get buckets of it, telling them exactly how their autopilot system works, what it's limitations are and when it should be used and when it shouldn't. and as the autopilot system improves/changes, the pilots get more training.

But in this case, most people's "training" for what autopilot does is:
    1) seeing what the "autopilot" system does in an airplane in a movie. these work very well under very demanding situations. generally only start having a problem if a wing or the tail section of the plane has been physically severed from the body of the plane.
    2) a couple of paragraphs displayed onscreen in the car, probably just once the first time you get in the car when you 'personalize' it (sure you can read it again later, but who has time?), and perhaps another couple when Tesla randomly updates the car (great, another update message, I'm in a rush, close it).

That would likely just be a minor speed bump for these guys. The exec would have the PKI signing keys on his laptop, desktop, phone, pad, any/all of which could be hacked to gain access to the key to generate a correctly signed request. Hell, he could be tricked into sending the phony request himself.

This kind of think happens at all levels. A earlier method (likely still works) was to send phony invoices to Accounts Receivable, and just hope they send you a cheque.
