how about some kinda app on a linux WiFi AP that allows clients to join but not access and network resources till you ok it. This way you could monitor their activity, I mean if your are one of the Open Source Sofware freaks (I'm not bashing it but extreme anything isn't too good) you would most likly be happy to do this... wouldn't you?
if you can really get the advertized 50wpm, this would be a great for a latop. I hate these damn compact keyboards and touchpads. It would be alot eaiser then carrying around a real keyboard, and it has a mouse joystick to boot.
I wouldn't label this as a "top of the line" "only the rich have" item. I dropped $90 on an antec PSU at 480 watts becuase the no name one I had didn't cut it. I can not stress enough the importance of buying a quality PSU, because it is such a hard thing to reconize when it is causing trouble. So exspect to spend around $100 on a quality power rig PSU.
Another point of intrest to me is that that is a really inovative idea with the modular plugs. Seriously, when was the last time you saw something change in PSUs and it made you say "wow, that is really something different."
It would only work to a ceartin degree. You can really only have two networks in the same area without interference (ch 6 and ch 11). After that they overlap, you will get bandwith and interference issues. Also given the fact that you wont be getting a perfect 11mbit or 54mib you are only going to be able to use three maybe four connections at once. And the linux kernel has support for equal cost bandwith balancing between devices (when are they going to add non equal cost...)
I'm not bashing you here, but its alot of work to test a game, there are so many problems that could arise. It seems very obvious once we see the bug and it is patched, but its a whole different story after you have been testing the game for weeks on end and you are being pressured by your publisher to meet the deadline.
Have you every tried building a computer enclouser from scratch? Its a bitch, and to do it as anything other then a box/rextangle/cube is even more of a bitch.
Thats what I'm talking about, you are right. I just think that flash is overused and can hinder a site more then it does good things. If macomedia added a few hooks for the plugin and page devolopers went a little liter things would be good.
The best part about having almost the entire user base dependent on you, is that you can do what ever the hell you want to, and there isn't much any one can do. Just look at how Microsoft's TCP/IP stacks behave.
Parent couldn't be more right, flash pages really aren't web pages, they are just animations, flash is the wrong tool for the web, but I smell a flame war starting with this one...
I too have the surfboard, but about them not having control... At least with my cable provider, in the paperwork it says they have the right to "upgrade, audit and reload" the cable modem as the service requies.
I think that the story is by far the most important thing in a game. I still go back and play games from '99 and before and enjoy them alot. I play the half-life single player at least once a year. Also I just recently played the first Home-world and it was the story that kept me so rivited to it. So what if the graphics aren't top notch, people are not going to pay 50 dollars for their hard earned cash for nothing more then an interactive tech demo. I also just found Multi User Dungeons online, such as nannymud, its all text, but the stoies in these gamaes are deeper then morst comercial games right now, and I'm am hooked on those.
O wow...complete with Real Player? Why don't ya just boot windows?
Sounds like your joking, but you are right in my view. I run two desktop systems, a Linux and a Windows PC. They are different OSs for different things.

I knew gats didn't like linux, but to resort to violance, I didn't think he was even that low.
You are looking at the server files, all the downloads are on one page, and the servers are first. Scroll down.
I dunno which, but I use Lynx, Links and elinks at different times and I know at least one of them has cookie suppost, if not all.
I'm sure MS will be on that list. They managed to get an OS on my computer that I didn't want.
"I want them alive... no disintegration." Oh to be a bounty hunter...
...how deep can these threads go?

Turing test anyone?
but of couse none of us ever associate with the network, we just passivly look at them... right?
Its been done, ever use links (built to betty lynx)? Links has an option to compile in graphial suppost, however I never have done this, I use dillo.
What this means, is the Government messed up? No way.. thats impossible

I looked at the review, and I have been thinking about a new keyboard for a while.. I'm goring right out and getting one.
A 2 hour game would be great, if it cost $7.50 like a movie ticket, not $50. I like to get my moneys worth out of a game.
