So... Apple says "Don't Jailbreak your phone" and as one of the reason says "We don't QA test against that". Then people do it anyhow, and updates break their phone (as warned). And those people sue, believing that the bugs that Apple said they couldn't test against were intentional? Funny stuff.
I'm neither, but here's how I see it: Someone who went to a vocational school will be very good at doing one thing. However, an employer will probably prefer someone who is good at more than one thing, and able to adapt to new roles.
In much of New England, "city" versus "town" is a matter of the type of colonial charter that was used to found the place. In New Hampshire and Vermont (I grew up on the border) which term is used is largely a matter of historical happenstance.
I don't think it's crazy to say that a piece of software that 90% of people think of as being for downloading, but that also shares your files automagically in a non-transparent way, is a bad idea. Any file-sharing should be opt-in, not automatically and quietly sharing an unspecified are of your drive.
Oddly, I'm not sure I have a problem with this. It seems obvious that you shouldn't buy military resources from the allies of your enemies. If you can't make bigger friends, don't get in the fight.
The problem with Referenda on sensitive social issues is that the Consitution is specifically designed to protect minorities against discrimination by majority rule. Just because there are more people who believe something doesn't make it right.
In almost every situation, a Recruiter is not working for you. The employer is the customer, and you are the commodity. So you can't really "fire" a headhunter. You can stop working with him, though. In this case, you absolutely should-- in fact, you should have after the first time his unethical behavior cost you a job.
This sounds like it could be explained by some fairly simple logic and math.
If (numbers pulled out of my ass for sake of argument) 10% of people own a Mac, and 95% of people own a PC, and each household has more than one person in it... You'd get something like this kind of distribution.
I don't understand what this discussion is about. Cursive is basically an alternative alphabet. Not knowing cursive doe NOT mean you can't write clearly by hand. Printing by hand is far more clear a form of communication that cursive.
TomTom missed the boat on this app. You can buy a new TomTom device for $99. Why would I pay the same to add software to a device that I already paid for? I would have bought this if it came out at $50 for the software, or $99 for the software plus the hardware accessory kit. At $99 for the software alone, I will pass.
You're also not hampered by having lot of people to follow, since everyone else is using Twitter. Social networking doesn't really work if you choose the smaller community.
I live in Boston, so I have empirical evidence that if 40% people drive like assholes, you still get plenty of traffic jams. Sorry, your model must be broken.
Yes, because no other manufacturer brands their peripherals and features.
How much is your time worth?

Paper notepad. Give each equation a reference number. Put the reference number in your typed notes. Save yourself a lot of hassle.

It's hell of a lot easier to kill someone else while driving a car, than to kill someone else while flying a single-passenger airplane.

"That's no moon!"
I agree on the pricing. Total missed opportunity.

You would have done better to realize sooner that a game is art, not just a collection of technology. Then you wouldn't have wasted all that time.
Great marketing-- The only people who lose out are the consumers! That'll show the bastards!
Yes. All humans alive now share a common ancestor.
It's easier to live without one arm than without one liver. Food for thought.
Just don't sit on it, and it should be fine. ;)
Just because you lose money doesn't mean you can change the rules after the fact. I guess this guy shouldn't have bid so low to get that contract.
Most people don't actually get their entire Twitter feed send to their phone.
