hehe my old forms program still runs under gem 3 (1988) of course running it all under win98 brings it back to speed it was on the 386 but hey it feels more real that way;)
Now if only my old database (DOS) ran as fast under XP as on my 386:(
BUT i want to race online. I get bored by the bots usually after a couple hours.
What do i buy?
There doesnt seem to be anyone racing online. And i dont know if there are for most games unless i buy the game and install it. THEN i find out there is noone to race. Repeat until i tried most that sounded good. I find a couple dozen people WORLDWIDE (lag makes many unacceptable) in most of them except for the first couple months there may be more. I dont want to invest my time/money for a month of frenzied kids with nothing else to do. By the time ii master it most are gone:(
The only game i know people still play online (nascar 2003)is simply unavailable for purchase:/
I just cant figure out how to get my money's worth. So i will just keep my money i guess.
"it was nice to be somebody even if it didn't mean anything in real life"
Why did it not 'mean' anything in real life?
Are the people on the other end of those guildies not real people? Did they not enjoy your company/help/etc? Perhaps they needed a connection with someone as much as you did?
Seems like you could be affecting real life, possibly more lives than otherwise.
--in the same vein--
What would be real life then? Anything past eating, pooping, sleeping ? (and sleeping doesn't even FEEL all that real;) Bowling with friends is more 'real' than questing with guildmates somehow?
etc
--You get the idea--
Sure we can't live online 24/7 and there is stuff we have to do. Doesn't make it any less real;)
"Your analogy is flawed though. This is the equivalent of your GM car suddenly not working in some of the advertised ways because it thinks the car is stolen, forcing you to buy a new GM. Which doesn't happen, and would be a cause of many lawsuits. For the sake of honesty: I use Windows XP and prefer it over anything else I've tried"
Well we have a truck without a radio cause it lost power and needed a new battery. Now because we changed a part the radio wants a secret code to work again which has been misplaced despite the fact the radio itself has not been touched....sound familiar?
ok, so its Dodge (ok,ok,actually a mercedes underneath) not GM.
Is this the new way to force us to read the article...make the headline/summary inaccurate or misleading??
I guess sponge is a tool in the broadest sense, but they really talk about sponges. I was thinking instruments. Trying to guess how the hospital could imbed anything into stainless steel, hehe.
Makes more sense as the sponges are the item that needs it most. Needles and blades usually get put on a magnetic card with numbered slots. If you opened 6 there should be 6 used on card/box before you toss it;) Some sponges are really hard to count BEFORE use, afterwards its even worse. Plus they hide easy.
Of course these cost several times as much i imagine, like surgery needs another expense:(
After all the 700 pilot kids found 800 postings.....
I wonder what the other 693 kids in pilot program where doing during this time? Or maybe it slows them up when they decide to d/l them all, hehe. It is either that or the pilot program only lasted 20 minutes before they implemented it full-scale;P
Program is available for export...i dare you to try that here...hehe they would probably download 1600 for every 800 found;p
I still remember having a party with the Hot Wheels track going from the fence on one side to the end of the yard on the other and the launch set as high as we could reach:) I was the local racetrack for the neighbor kids. We used to play Indy with the sizzlers, still remember being Johnny Rutherford with the little blue indy car. (Gotta love the internet tho, now i can buy new batteries for the darn sizzlers (and tires for my slot cars) finally)
Still have em all too and i was 7 when HoT Wheels came out so the collection starts at the begining:)
Or maybe the recollections are simply better when you find you now have $1000's in old toys hehe;) Dozens and dozens of 60's-70's Hot wheels and Matchbox. Matchbox car transports were epecially handy for make believe.
But yes, Generic playsets for many of these toys are harder to find than they should be now. The comments on the LEgo sets are dead on too, why is a box of bricks usually special order but single use sets are available by the shelf-full;(
Start from opposite sides and work really really fast ?!?
Ok, just starting from opposite sides may work. A little extra rotational energy shouldnt hurt anything (if aim isn't 100% on) but you might want to match momentum tho;) The really really fast part was only to get the image stuck in your head all day;p
You don't need to block other's sites. You just make them slower than yours. If you are an MSN customer and their search loads in 1 second vs 5 seconds for google what do you think will happen? Eventually a lot will switch, even many who would prefer google.
I just don't trust the whole thing:(
Besides, if it is what the telcos want it just can't be a good thing. I have yet to find one that even has a clue much less what to do with it;p
** our telephone company FORGOT to bill us for 2 new lines (INSTALLED BY THEMSELVES ON A T1!!) for a year, This is who will be controlling the flow of info:( ** What if they FORGET to give you the fast lane after you pay? **
$250 for (orig) Xbox and racing games to race online since PC online racing SUCKS
$50 for live $100 for something i forgot for Xbox $200 BEER to make it look like a 360/PS3;)
By the time i get it tuned up, both tires replaced (old 10-speed i dont want to mess with rear tire) and the cable fixed i could run to wal-wart and get a shiny new one in 1 hour for $10 more than repairs that will take a day or two and a similiar trip anyways:(
Since i HAVE to wear a helmet to ride it 3 blocks to work or 8 blocks to burger king (not enough time to walk for this one) i did neither since my car still works:O
That's not even an electronic item which is almost always cheaper to replace:/
Gads, this is already getting stupid and they want to pile on more crap?
As if having ads every 5 min now (usually for their shows) and running a little ad in the corner for their next show and a logo that seems stuck to my screen just isn't enough....
I used to get DVDs instead but even those are getting too annoying to bother with. I mostly buy/rent older stuff, much less annoying crap on em. People pay big for convenience, why keep making your stuff less so ?!?
I made an interesting discovery when i was home during the day last week. Perry Mason must have a 100-year distribution agreement for no cuts...the commercials weren't even enough to go pee. I swear there were like 4 60-90 sec breaks the whole hour.
A lot of people seem to like simple games. Depends how you define casual i suppose. By number of hours per week? that makes our manager a hardcore solitare player...
I doubt any of these ppl count themselves as hardcore no matter how many hours they play;) Currently on zone.com (sample of 115,000 ppl online)

Either this does nothing cause they can't find the owner. Or it lets us know our neighbors have a access point available.
Nothing particularly evil i guess, but nothing very productive either IMHO. Seems like another waste of $$, life goes on:(

Huh?
Where are my programs?
And for the life of me i can't find the END button and the off button on my computer doesn't seem to function under windows
All they gave me was a button labeled START but the computer is already started.....
Meanwhile i will wait for the VISTA-EU edition after they make MS provide a functioning interface

SO someone was willing to pay 10k for one.
Sales price will be 200k.
hmmmmmmmmm
Hopefully it works like the old paper rolls with a red stripe at the end.
;)

If the jetpack flying over you is putting out red smoke time to duck and cover
Lets see 5 min should get you halfway thru the first lesson....doh
The other problem is it will also get you HALFWAY to work, i guess you can walk the rest of the way

Sony Online billed my CC after it expired. Not sure how but they got it to go thru without the new date or a PIN for the debit part but they did

Ok, the plans for world domination will have to be reworked to account for the 14" bots. Get back to you later on that ;)

Ok, its cute...umm what does it do?

I see 1% swings daily on news, WTF, is this a gain if we simply shift it a week?!?
Plus the fact that Apple is not going to hit ANALISTS PROJECTIONS (did i miss a Y? oh well)
Also it appears Dell is losing some market share. DUH, they've been idiots with service for a while now.
Nowhere in link does it mention SALES or even PROFIT. Are sales down? Where is the slump? Less units? Less dollars? Less profits?
Any of the above or just bellyachin they aren't making a bunch more?

hehe, just give us a new vowel or drop one
Mostly the whole thing seems a bit overdone. Some will creep in and a few could use a push tho. Maybe we need to change some pronunciation.

I assume terrorists for some reason are unable to get fake ID for John Smith, right ?!?

then blow up anything that moves to fill in the hole you just made
repeat as needed.
I thought this was an external HD.
:O
I can't find a specific reference at the moment tho, everything simply says 'Laptop and HD', but you don't usually use 'and' for built-in components.
Even the forensics article assumes an internal drive
Am i getting prematurely senile or did everyone miss something here?
