    The CSU is the Christian _Social_ Union. They don't have anything to do with socialism or communism other than fighting it as hard as they can. They are Germanys Republicans.

    Let the generals run the combat.

    See, the Nazis weren't aliens visiting germany between 1933 and 1945. They were part of this country before and after and the old establishment of the Kaiserreich as well as other powers (economy) supported them. So the german forces participated quite willingly in most of the sick stuff. Maybe Hitler was a bad military leader, but most of the generals supported his ideas as long they thought they could win the war.

    Never. Ever. The Soviet Union just had too many people and resources.

    There were a lot of resources wasted on the Death Camps and other essentially political/sociological obsessions

    Yeah, right. Those obsessions were what made the system tick. Without those: No Nazis. No WWII.

    Uhm, no, IBM didn't allow clones. In fact they tried to stop them but weren't able to do so. IIRC Compaq reverse engineered the IBM PC BIOS. In that pre-DMCA era IBM lost the process that followed.

    What you don't see is VA Linux suing people or companies while refusing to show what they are suing over.

    But what if some day VA Linux is owned by someone like Canopy? On the stock market such a thing can happen fast. Caldera once was a real nice, fluffy buddy too.

    Then you would learn that the patent system and todays copyright legislation, as are a problem. Not who owns what. Because this can (and will) change. Wasn't that one of the reasons to make the GPL?

    Thanks a lot. This was agood one. But until the lame last season I pretty much liked DS9. But generally the giving their best to ruin it. After Voayger (of which I didn't see that many eps anyway) I thought it couldn't get worse. God, how naive.

    BTW: Made me think and come up with another one: George Lucas is to Star Wars as George Lucas is to Star Wars.

    Germany: 10^6=million, 10^9=milliarde,10^12=billion and so forth. A lot of people have trouble with this when translating business news from the US :)

    In the same book he describes how they put together a presentation for their PenWindows for a computer fair (Comdex?) to show that they could do the same stuff as Go. When in fact they had absolutely nothing. It was all smoke and mirrors.

    I always remember that story when watching another cool Longhorn presentation. And I wish others would too, especially journalists ...

    As it is, getting enterprise level applications running together in Java is not an easy task - bring in more forks and incompatibility and you will kill the language.

    But - at least in US - they won't get money for the comp. So if Apples screen reader comes for free, a Mac would be cheaper.

    It's VERY customizable.

    Using Safaris Webkit I can build my own browser :)

    There's even a window you can open with all the possible buttons that you can drag'n drop onto where you want them on thr browser.

    This sounds very Mac OS Xish.
