The Matrix movies are about control as much as religion. The Egyption Gov. convieniently uses religion as its excuse, when in reality, they don't want anyone to realize the parallel between the control they exercise by banning the movie and the control the matrix gives the machines.

You assume that because I said the word "chug" that I drink Panther Piss (Coors to those not from the Southern U.S.). I'll have you know that "If it ain't Hoegarten, it ain't shit!" (unless it's any other Weiss, Good Lager/non-pale Ale, or just so damn dark you can't see through it.) Basically, If you can see through it, it aint B33R!
Save yourself the time and effort...

and Chug when it starts warming!! Beer wasn't meant to be half-assed bird-sipped (that goes for *goog* beer too!) Enjoy it while at its best temp. then finish 'er off so you can have another!!!
Go get some Concert Speakers, you know, the BIG ones... 15 Feet Tall... tow them on a trailer, and when you find someone blasting music, drown them out with something like Dvorak, or Ludwig Van...
It's good, and eventually after you spend it, it will go t a bank, which will send it to the Federal Reserve in return for a new bill, and no-one will ever see your 20 year old dollar bill again...
The older bills will be phased-out, eventually. Banks will start collecting them, sending them back to the Federal Reserve, and getting new bills in return, effectivly phasing-out the old bills. It's easier than forcing everyone down to the banks to trade-in their old money.
Think hacking this stuff. Think adding a bios "upgrade" to allow booting of any OS. THINK, and don't limit yourself to M$'s intentions. (you could use M$'s bootloader to launch the linux kernel.)
That ships thousands of faulty fans in their Retail boxes, so now there's no way to avoid their slip-ups (well, you COULD pay for an Intel, but..)
You're forgetting one thing...

At least in the U.S., the cable-company owns the set-top box, so they don't have to give the source to any customers, because they're not __giving__ the kernel in the first place. They're just letting someone use their computer.
I love watching Digital Versatile Disc Discs on my Liquid Crystal Display Display, but to upgrade I had to go by the Automatic Teller Machine Machine to make a withdrawal.
Hence the term "Good" GUI. A Good one, IMHO, will hide when not being used, and re-appear when the user tries to interact with it. That way, If you don't do anything with your KB/Mouse, you get your full-screen, un-cluttered movie display, but if you want to change something and don't want to remember dozens of hot-keys, then the GUI can re-apear upon user input to handle the user's requests and then disappear again after a couple of seconds of inactivity or upon user request.
Given the nature of graphics processing, using dual Athlons or Xeons, compared to a single Athlon or Xeon would most likely make the numbers favor the PC even MORE. The interesting numbers to see would be comparing the single top-of-the-line P4 against the dual Athlons and dual Xeons.

And I have the cojones to put my NAME on this one... not some AC crap!
Not if you cite the source, which lyrics sites usually do (lyrics with no artist/song title would be pretty dumb).

Good job promoting innovation in the spirit of Progress!!
The masses will switch to cable (shared) slowing its average speed to about 85% of DSL's. Okay, maybe not, but the potential is there.
