Yeah, don't bullsh** go the whole 9 yards

I run it, it's a bit resource intensive but if you run it on Linux as the native desktop it's not too bad.
I said screw it @ work and finally got tired of the CPU & memory intensive Windows Installation and loaded Fedora Core 3. It works, now, on the other hand, I know my way around Linux pretty damn well, but I finally got tired of dealing with Microsoft's shit, and made the switch.
Yes, there are little hiccups (like getting our SMB shared printer to work), but a little tinkering later, everything works well. I'll load Vmware for the programs i TRULY need, other than that. I'm done.

I am sure they could put a G5 in a powerbook, but apple wants the same as they done on everything else. Low fan noise! If you wanted the fan to run all the time.a la. Pentium machines...
Even since X-men came out, all the movie makers have been running around snatching up all the comics for "movies" I guess. What happened to reading a comic?
Until Solaris becomes a user-friendly and error free (and non-resource hogging) as Linux, then I would say no. But I would definately give it a run for the money, on the other hand..
Didn't MS and Sun just do a deal? Doesn't MS have a big beef with Linux? Is this MS's way of getting rid of Linux? CONPIRACY THEORISTS UNITE!!!
Although interesting, I assume that this isn't pratical, and therefore, a frivolus waste of time, energy, and money. I love the space program, and space itself, however, we do some dumb shit with space and the ideas surrounding it.
BLOCKED BY WEBSENSE.
What would really be cool, although not very... ergonomic is if we could bring our memory cards and Playstation games that already exist and play them on the machine.
and it traveled through time... on a serious note I can only hope that this catches on a lot more than it has at this point. Reducing America's dependancy (the world's dependancy) on fossil fuels is a great thing to strive for. I can only hope that other countries follow suit and make this world a better place to live.

This is a sad day in free software history. Screw you AOL. (I know this will be redundant)... Winamp is one of the better free programs out there, I guess the few remaining will have to migrate to xmms.
Beyond all the other features that Google's Gmail has that beats out all competition, thisis like the "cow brand" on all the other yahoo/hotmail stuff that just kicks their asses. Nice work Google.
I don't have a cube, I have an area. But it's quite disconcerting to think that corporate America has thrown us into this "worker bee, sit at your desk and produce" model. It sucks. But on the other hand, I get paid to sit right here, so I'm good. I'd be interested in reading the book, however, I am afraid it would discourage me more than I already am.
You bring up a good point. I believe that it may, at some point replace it. However, we'll have to max out the cards first. I recently heard something about CPUs can't get any faster because of.. 93 nanometers or something I don't remember.
I think when the video cards reach, basically, it's own computer purely for the computations for graphics, then bundle them together and make it gravy.

speaking from experiance of a military individual.. Army Cryptographers don't even read this manual ;)
Dell already has a small profile desktop. RTFA, it says will it increase the popularity of it? Maybe.

Enjoy.
Regarding the PC/MAC jokes... If you have that many PC's/MAC's that you are trying to get rid of, send a few my way... Don't plant them!
That's a beautiful idea! Maybe we can make some that purposefully explode? Problem is we'd have some dumb private pick one up and try and call home..

Correct me if i am wrong.. Didn't DARPA develop most of IP/TCP?

I heard a rumor that the code had "BUG BUG" written in it so many times it wasn't funny.. I didn't see the code myself, can anyone verify?

Had two guys take off the whole day of work today because they wanted to go wait in line for the game to come out. OBSESS MUCH?
Does that mean my AOL Stock will quadruple? Or will this just create 4x the mess that already exists?
I have nothing Bluetooth, what am I missing out on? Is this like the next best thing behind 802.11? What's the big deal already?
While it's another tool that is handy for analysis, the same thing can be accomplished with about three other tools Handy, but ...
I love me some Firefox. This is easily the best free product to come out yet. No ads too!
