I hardly think it's 'trivial' if MS considers it worth entering an NDA. Thought they normally just 'borrow' the necessary machine code...So much more efficient.
It would prolly take me only a few minutes to whack together a program that would encrypt a message using a.txt key ...as long as you tell the recipient what file to use face to face (got EULAs?) it should be quite difficult to decrypt without the key.
P.S. I am not a hacker...haven't reached that level of elegance yet
I already have a workaround, it's called a microphone. As long as there are input devices and storage media, no copyright protection can possibly be effective.
If you really need to make a call, walk outside.
I suppose what you are more concerned with is incoming calls, so consider this idea:
As you go into a high-class opera house, you check your phone at the desk, give them your seat number, and relax and enjoy(?) the show.
Partway through, an usher comes to your seat, and quietly tells you that a Darl McBride is on the line. You then walk to the desk, and take the call there.
It would probably be possible to temporarily reroute your phone number, too.
Slightly OT, but a while ago, someone let me install Unreal Tournament. I don't remember there being a serial code, and you don't need the CD in the drive, but I decided to buy it anyway. I'll probably do the same with Fallout 1/2 (Where's the original BIS team now, anyone know?). Piracy can boost sales!
I saw an ad awhile ago that linked to a "independent" analysis of the TCO (total cost of {operation?} that linked to these studies
Also found this...
BTW, would appreciate info on which Linux variant is best for 1st time users.
One of my friends has a Mac, is running Norton (He got a copy with a 100% rebate, if you catch my drift) and has occoasionally prevented a virus from reaching our school's Windows network.
Conclusion: Use (Linux || (Unix || OSX)) on a proxy server, scan internet traffic in one place, and relax!
Kazaa lite isn't as bad as Kazaa.
Not only did Kazaa load my computer with spyware, but when I got rid of it with Ad-Aware, my network connection broke! Kazaa is evil, K-lite++ is, although not neccessarily good, better.
Would U.S. courts be able to use current German legal decisions as precedent? If so, SCO may not be willing to run the risk of losing in Germany and not being able to do anything in U.S.A.

So...you buy from Real, and convert to MP3 using one of who know how many ways. What's the big deal?
Did you try it with an int istead of a float?
The term for this is the Peter Principle, although it doesn't say that people are stupid.
And once its public knowledge, China starts producing it...

This is definitely a good idea, but can I get one shaped like a cell phone?

If I allow my toe to be injured, I feel pain. This causes me to try to avoid injuring it---perhaps the same applies to some concepts of God
Is there a mirror, anyone?
New rule: Dislexics may not assemble Shuttles!
Your Magical Mystical Hippy Stone has been smashed, and you may attack players camped near you.
Strangest RPG I have ever seen
Learn HTML! It's far too much work to copy and paste...

A Popular Science writer decided it would be fun to smelt metal in the microwave. He even made tin fish!
Hey, can I borrow $20?
